I am using Pokemon Essentials & RPG Maker XP. I made the inside of my houses in my starting town and did eventing so you could go through and back. The door events work fine, but I cannot walk inside my houses even though the flooring should not be blocked off and I should be able to walk on it. Is this something to do with my layers? Or is there any other solutions you can think of?

Have you said that the tileset have the tile blocked off? (Sorry I havent undestood well)
Have you a event in "automatic start"? (If you dont put a local variable the event is permanently in a loop).
Can you enter in the menu?

The tileset is not blocked off, it is just the floor tiles and they are set to open. The event is just the door opening so I can get into the house and yes I am able to open the menu. It could be something wrong with my layers but I am unaware of the problem.

Are you sure you don't have any "invisible" tiles on your layers? By invisible it would be completely transparent tiles (If you are using the default tilesets with essentials you shouldn't have this problem. This does not include the one in the upper right corner of your tile selector, the one next to the autotiles)

This is exactly what I think the issue is. Easy mistake to make when you're new to rmxp.
