So when I originally made my account, I wanted to make a ROM hack, well that was last year, and I couldnt understand any of it, so I waited for people to get better in technique, and now am asking what I should do.
So I want to make a hack of Emerald version, I am a creative person, so I can come up with a story pretty fast, I need to know how I can change the textures of everything, I want everything to look nice like some of the higher end hacks, how would I change house textures, and how would I change character textures?
Adding on to that, I want to make more buildings, and redo the map, I want my own region, for my own story of course! How would I change the map, and how would I make more buildings and or make more insides of buildings(I never understood this, be super in depth about this part)
And lastly, what program should I use, and do I just download a copy of Emerald to edit? Thanks!
EDIT: I also want to know how I can add a time system in to the game, like a day/night cycle. And if I could be told how to make new peices for the map, that would be great!(I need to make new characters, buildings, ect) I also want to add new music, where could I get free music to use for my game? Cause I cannot make music... And if all the information shared could be super dumbed down for me I would love you cause I am new to all of this!
