need to put water type on my team please help!!

    alright i have a team (i think is pretty good) but it is lacking a good water type... can you help me pick one?
    my team so far is:
    typhlosion
    -flamethrower
    -shadow claw
    -focus blast
    -solar beam
    machamp
    -rock slide
    -ice punch
    -cross chop
    -earthquake
    dragonite
    -outrage
    -dragon dance
    -water fall
    -iron tail
    alakazam
    -psycic
    -shadow ball
    -focus blast
    -recover
    this is my team i am trying to beat thegame then gonna face my friend who is doing the same thing so i need a strong water type

    Lapras has super high health, and good overall stats elsewhere, and Starmie has high speed and sp. atk.
     
    I agree. Lapras I like the most. It all depends on personal preference though.
    Poliwrath isn't too bad either.
     
    You'll probably want two, if you want to be able to use all the HMs without anything turning into a HM Slave.

    Anyway, Gyarados is uber powerful. Swept the entire HeartGold Elite Four for me at level 44. No joke. Dragon Dance + Waterfall/Ice Fang/Bite massacres like everything. And you don't need any TMs!

    Starmie is also a beast, but, in order to make the most of it, you will probably want Thunderbolt + Ice Beam (ie. TMs)

    + don't worry about the Electric weakness because you have four other Pokemon to deal with them and there aren't really strong ones until Surge.
