actually, that's the "Jigen no Tou" (Tower of Time), from the second Mystery Dungeon game.

Spoiler:

Thanks for the info, pal. :)

Haven't even played the first Mystery Dungeon yet... [cough]

Shinji: Crystal Clair told me to post this. She isn't here right now. She said something about the Pokesho artist that was rather insulting and then she just went off.
btw, it's a rather 3d model. I could probably do better though. :p

Shinji: yes it is
Crystal Clair told me today that she was taking a break from the PokeCommunity. Something about too many n00bs in the anime section and her going through pms.

I must say this club is quite impressive. Soara's always had quite a talent but sometimes his drawings look kinda... off.

What are some examples Soara's drawings are not that great?
Shinji: well, Shenlong, it's not that simple. Some of them just seem stiff in a way. Crystal Clair once told me that Soara couldn't capture the Shinji-ness of me. I agree, since it's me he's trying to draw. Neither of us are able to point out what he's missing.
I also have a suspicion that one of his pictures on the site is a traceover. I told Clair the other day and she found it weird too.
I'll look for the sample later. I have to work on some... stuff

one of the pictures is a trace? o,O i wanna see for myself.

Shinji: well I looked at the comparison again and it seems that Soara may not have traced over it but it looks very similar. It's as if he did trace over it but modified it
*image removed*
And the second I saw her in that illust, I knew I had seen that face before.
Come to think of it, maybe it was another picture of Hikari that was even more similar to the Pokesho picture...
you know, I bet there was. I just know it.

As for a few drawing f-ups, just look at how he did *link removed*
Cassidy's stripes are too large, her arms are a bit too wide and the puff of the sleeve is too round.

I was also shocked on the obvious error he made when he colored in *link removed*

Overall, if you look closely at some of his pictures, there is an error or two.

I had already nosebled before your warning!! :D Awesome pic indeed!!!

Shinji: Crystal Clair uploaded it onto the Pocketmonsters ecchi board today
Natane, Suzuna and Sumomo
I also think there should be a rule enforced that if you're going to post pictures from the oekaki board, you should upload them to an imagehosting site before posting. It's a pain but it's unfair to users like Shenlong who are unable to view the site.
Tsukaenai forbidden stuff! Something should be done.

wait a minute... you're saying that the stuff is both forbidden AND useless? That'd make it really, really sucky and not worth the trouble, but this hardly seems to be the case. ^^

Hey, Shinji, did Crystal Clair hear me earlier when I asked about ero-oekaki boards? For that matter, when was the last time Soara's done any ero?

Shinji: it's a habit for me IRL to say tsukaenai about things I hate. It's like Haruka's kamo quirk. And I didn't mean to call Soara's artwork tsukaenai. He makes a big impression on the Pokemon fandom. I helped Crystal Clair write an essay for school about Soara. Maybe she'll post it here sometime.
And Yamato-san, she heard you but she's in the clouds lately. *dodges tomatoes thrown by Crystal Clair's friends*. She does know some oekakis. I'll tell her to pm you later. She's busy on bulbagarden right now.

It'd be interesting if we could learn more about the artist himself. We know he's a Japanese guy who loves Erika, Azusa and Lovelina and is talented at art and comedy. Crystal Clair claimed she saw a picture of him once but I dont know if I should believe her. She said it was one of those hidden things. She didn't tell me exactly what he looked like but she said something about trying to figure out how old he was.
As for me, I have no clue.

And Yamato-san, are you Japanese by decent? Just curious

For the first image, I don't think it's a trace. The shading inside the mouth is different, the position of the nose between the eyes are different, the hair is slightly different, too.

For the second image... Bwuh? I think you're just a smidge more obsessive-compulsive about Pokémon than Soara is! ;P

For the third image... Paint bucket error lulz.

Obviously, since Soara greatly mimics the official art styles (Game style, anime style, various manga styles), you are going to see a lot of similarities between his artwork and official art, anime screencaps, etc. There's only so many ways you can draw Dawn in the official style, afterall.

Finally.... I think as just a common courtesy, you (this is the general YOU, not specifically pointed at anyone) shouldn't directly link to the paint-BBS images. For one, they aren't permanent (once they get bumped off page 15, they're gone, amigo!). And for two, as to not needlessly drain Pokésho's bandwidth. There's plenty of services out there that gladly let you sap bandwidth (Imageshack, Photobucket, etc.), so it'd be just better to do that.
Oh, and it seems as though some people can't even access Pokésho (I have pity for their souls). That's bad, too.

I believe I've already answered this here before: no. I just know a lot of the language.

BTW, CC can PM me those oekaki sites on Bulbagarden, as I've been a rather prominent visitor there lately.

I think Crystal Clair has all of them collected into one convenient .rar folder or something.
