If I recall correctly, New Year's is a pretty big holiday in Japan (moreso than in America). He may be taking a break. Maybe visiting family or something.
Maybe he's been lacking inspiration? That can strike sometimes.

JJ', it's kinda easy to understand that one. The first panel says something about trading. Then Ash and Hikari get ready to trade their two Pokemon
however, Ash tricks her in the end, trades his Tauros and makes off with both Pokemon.

what Crystal Clair said. Are you unfamiliar with recent Japanese spoilers? Because if you're not, there's no way you couldn't have caught the joke, even by going on visuals alone (and what a good point Soara makes. Satoshi's got a crapload of Kentauros he's never exactly gotten close to, thus great trading fodder. Maybe he likes his Pokemon so much, he wouldn't wanna separate his main Kentauros from his friends.... or the producers just like the idea of a stampede appearing every time they're at Ookido's).

However, I'll translate it anyway, since you asked. But know this: looking up unfamiliar kanji really stresses me out, so I'm not in a mood to translate as often as you'd think.


Takeshi: "I feel that by changing partners, you can unleash all the power that you please."

Satoshi: "It's just like Nozomi said. Alright, let's trade!"

Hikari: "Yeah!"

Satoshi: "Let's go, Aipom!!"

Hikari: "Buoysel, good luck!!"

Hikari: "Nooooo! What is this?!!"
 
OK, OK I'M SORRY!! I understood the pictures, but I still wanted to know the text... I don't know anything about japanese and kanjis you know? v_v, I can speak english (kinda), spanish, german and french, but japanese is really hard!!... anyway, thanks pal

probably because the.... er.... details are about as plainly defined as they are in the anime. This seems like one of his pieces that're done more the purposes of a gag rather than fanservice. In this case, the fact that Haruka left Achamo to rot all the way until it evolved, which might be attributed to the fact (albeit a game-derived fact) that most Contests were restricted to using just one Pokemon back in the day (which is likely why she's using it alongside Agehunt in a Double Performance).

Well, his name was next to the picture when I saw it on the oekaki board. Unless he's pulling something on us (because he didn't have an animation to go with his oekaki), like maybe someone else did it, he probably did.
Although I think the lack of animation lies in the fact that that drawing wasn't done by Shipainter or any oekaki and just uploaded, since I see uploaded animations there and animations cant be done by oekaki programs unless they're progress animations but that's a whole other thing. And besides, you cant do lineart like that in Shipainter even with tablet pressure. I know Soara is good but not that good. Tablet pressure in Shipainter is rather lousy and unnatural looking. He probably did it on some photoshop-type program. I find I can do his lineart style very well with the ink took on GIMP so maybe he uses gimp
that's something we never discussed, though. 8D a new topic perhaps.


edit: OMG, it was the funniest thing. One of my old tabs open had Soara's manga oekaki on the board. I refreshed it
And a BRAND NEW PIC appeared right in the old picture's place! Erika and Gloom and a rainbow. Shadow Chaos will upload it..
