Perhaps... and perhaps not. I think depends on how you think of the terms.


As English loan words, "hentai" refers specifically to pornographic anime/manga/games (i.e. acts of sex can been seen). "Ecchi" refers to sexual images that don't depict sex (i.e. a topless girl).

But, for as they're used in Japanese (from my understanding, at least)...
"Ecchi" is the Japanese pronunciation of the English letter "H". H can refer to anime/manga/games of any level of sexual content (from images of nudity to images of sex). i.e. H CG, H-anime, etc.
"Hentai" just means pervert, and refers to a person who is perverted. Very rarely do Japanese use the term to refer to adult content.
The most commonly used term in Japan to refer to adult content is "ero" (short for erotic/erotica). i.e eroge (erotic game).
 
Hey, anyone have the picture of Pokémon Card GB2's Mint that Soara drew? She was lying on the floor with cards scattered all over.

I think the secret is in the shading.

btw, some trivia, the Midnight Misty Revived theme on this site uses old Pokesho art like that old Emerald illustration of May, the old Misty from the old check-mark dressing game and a picture of Kenta and Kamen/Silver from one of the 4koma. So if you want to feel more like a Pokesho fan than ever, use this theme.

(I honestly used this theme because all the other forums I go to regularly are dark-colored and this community was too bright on my eyes)
 
Yeah, it's the shading. Hooray for Mars!!! Wow, Cyrus looks so...sinister. I love that guy (non-romantically). What an awesome villain. I wasn't fond of Jupiter much.

This place was the only part of Pokecommunity that I actually liked, so I still checked on it now and again while I was banned... tell me, wasn't there somebody wanting something translated a few pages back?

for those wondering whose grave stone Erika is washing.... I haven't a clue. It just seems to have some Buddhist prayer written on it (南無阿弥陀佛 Namu amida butsu). As for the stone that Ai/Aitwo (who knows? They're both dead when you think about it) is sitting on top of, her foot's blocking the third kanji, so I can't read it. All I do know is that it apparently isn't the Fuji family grave (which would be her own).

maybe someone should set up a forum/imageboard just for posting Pokemon ecchi just in case the secret board doesn't come back. We (and I) need a place to post our Pokemon ecchi. The only place I can go for my Pokemon ecchi fix is that agn site and there's too much disturbing Pokemon anthro porn X_X

btw, did any of you guys see that new Hinata picture? I found the large version right away. It's gorgeous!
It even inspired me to make my own picture but I'm not finished it yet.

I talked with the staff members, and apparently, they deleted the ecchi board. They claim they don't wanna risk getting shut down by Nintendo. As if restricting the posting of hardcore hentai and having a hidden address, which is both case and slash-sensitive, that's only known by a few people wasn't enough. I don't really understand the logic, as while they have already removed the torrents to episodes, they still promote the mIRC program which can be used to obtain such files, so I don't think they're exactly safe either way. But I have some pretty satisfactory porn sites as is (I personally haven't seen as much anthro as you're making there out to be... BTW, you're not counting gijinka, are you?), so I'm not complaining too much.
