I resent that statement. May has brown hair, and she's my favorite playable character, and overall favorite Pokemon character. <3

How is it bull? This is not a Crystal remake. It's Gold and Silver's. There was no female player in them. That's all this is. And just because there was no battle tower in Gold and Silver doesn't mean there won't be in the remakes. I think they have to include something like a "Trainer Tower" they did in FRLG.

What an insensitive comment. I'm surprised at you. We barely know the person, and you're bashing her just because she looks like she was forcibly inserted into this "cherished" remake that deserves Crystal instead.

It's what fans do, yo. XP Like, maybe Kris is one of her favorite characters. Personally, if they DO remake Ruby and Sapphire(which I doubt they will anytime soon, since it would make Pal Park useless), Imma be PISSED if they replace May. D<

Well I like Kris a lot and she's my favorite female we've gotten so far and to see her replaced by a poorly designed brunet girl is putting salt onto injury.
And I've been shallow like this before too.
 
in short:
nobody likes the new girl. crys shoulda been used, but no.........

geez, why replace crys? she didn't do anything wrong. don't think many fans are going to be happy 'bout that.

on a side note, the new male chara looks younger ( and my opinion, stupider) compared to the original GSC hero.
 
Well, her clothes are kinda curious, but I don't care, she looks cute for me... But I feel sorry for Crys, she is also pretty, ya?
 
You people need to appreciate what Sugimori has done over the years. It's disrespectful to say the new male look is "stupider" than the original. The man has been improving his artwork for the past four years. Learn to appreciate it.

It's not a question of what fault Crystal is in. And May won't be replaced if there's a R/S remake because she was already part of the game. Gold and Silver did not have a female. So this is their answer. Kris was not part of Gold and Silver, she's part of Crystal.
 
I enjoy the evolution of Sugimori's art. He's come a long way from Pulseman until now. His art is good, but I don't like the design of the new female lead. And, I'm not as fond of "Neo Hiro" as I am of the original. I dunno, something about his design throws me off... Then again, I felt the same about "Neo Red" at one point...

And saying that a "Neo Kris" isn't in HG/SS because she wasn't in G/S is a really weak argument. What, you think they're gonna completely ignore the enhancements from Crystal, and the newer games? You must be nuts.

Yeah, sorry. I've been trying, but I've been busy with schoolwork and whatnot. ^^;

It's not a weak argument, to me it's the only reason I can think of why they went for this girl and not Crystal. We have only one remake that we know, and a girl was added to that. Did she do anything? No. Were we complaining when she was introduced? Don't think so. Why? Because she was already planned for in RGB but ran out of space in the game to put her in. And in RGB it wasn't in their mind to have the girl react with the boy player. They didn't think of it. They got their chance with Crystal, and she didn't do anything either. It began with R/S/E, then D/P/Pt where the girl starts talking to you.

What enhancements did Crystal have? And before we go on to this, were any enhancements from Yellow put in FRLG? Leveling up, TMs, Pokemon happiness, sprite enhancements, honorable mentions to the anime, redesigned places, and some surfing minigame. Most of these are irrelevant because they were all solved, legitimated, and regulated by the time R/S/E came out with a change to the 32MB system.

HG/SS will experience the same jump in graphics, and what used to be there in G/S will be updated to Platinum standards, I believe. Now let's look at the Crystal enhancements. Thing with Crystal, is that it focused a lot on Suicune, hence the boxart mascot, which led to the new character Eusine. I don't think he'll be in this remake. Suicune is as not important to Gold and Silver, so there won't be such emphasis on this legendary. It's gonna be only Ho-oh and Lugia here. And the new trainer tower? Well, like I said with these remakes being bumped to the new standard, where every game since R/S had a battle tower or trainer tower of some sort, so of course there'll be one in HGSS. The other enhancements you speak of aren't worth mentioning. They fall into the same category I've talked about with Yellow above.

There's other new stuff in HGSS like both the notched-ear Pichu and the Shiny Pichu. Sure, these weren't in the original G/S, neither were they in Crystal. Surely we can be satisfied with this "enhancement" instead of magnifying Suicune's role?

as long as hgss is good, and i mean some improved mechanics over platinum, then its worth buying
 
The Shining Pichu that you obtain from the 12th movie in Japan unlocks an event to find that Pichu with the spiked ear.
 
I'm hoping the lil' Gardenia is really her as a small kid. Cause if not, it's disturbing. What's that thing wearing Ash's cap (with a green color rather than blue)? It almost looks like a Skiploom.

That's a Haro, little round machines (usually as pets/friends/other depending on the series) that appear in a bunch of different Gundam series. This one is green probably due to Gardenia being a Grass Trainer. Haro come in different colors.
