PSA: currently on a Massive Fallout Binge finishing some of my FO new vegas character builds and some sensational FO4 builds coming soon.

[PokeCommunity.com] Nerding Out - Character RPG thread

Ok so ive noticed for the past year there is a great number of people who have played or still plays a lot of Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect, and other RPGs and i figured i make a thread to cater to some SPICY and SENSTIONAL character builds for everyone to share.

So as we all know, a huge part of playing AND ENJOYING a role playing game is to roleplay a certain character based on certain aspects of your imagination such as the backstory, how the character should act towards the world and to other characters, the SPECIAL stats, and the important skills and perks.

So we discuss in this thread what are some of the character builds have you used in some of your respective RPG games and how did you treat your playthrough with your character? Were you sblr to gully immerse your character with the game's setting or did you just said screw the RP aspects? Or if you are like the really sensational players, how did you make sure that you were able to roleplay the character that you were playing as.

As always, we discuss some sensational and spicy character builds in games such as Fallout, Skyrim, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and other noteworthy RPGS.

    TLDR:
    Share build
    Talk about your RPG experience
Your opinion on which games deliver the best role playing experiences
    ????
    Profit?
    Meme

When it comes to how I came up with certain versions of RPG characters, I will show my four different versions of Commander Shepard:

    Commander Shepard version 1:
    Male
    Spacer background
    Ruthless military history
    Soldier class
    Paragon

Now when it comes to comes to my different versions of Commander Shepard, the first one I did is the one I consider to be my canon one. Noticeable achievements include romancing Tali, curing the Genophage, and destroying the Reapers.

    Commander Shepard version 2:
    Female
    Earthbound background
    Sole Surviver military history
    Sentinel class
    Renegade

    Commander Shepard version 3:
    Male
    Colonist background
    War Hero military history
    Engineer class
    Neutral

    Commander Shepard version 4:
    Female
    Spacer background
    War Hero military history
    Infiltrator class
    Paragon

Buck it. No new replies yet. Then here i go.

My sensational Fallout New Vegas build "The Master of Arms"
[PokeCommunity.com] Nerding Out - Character RPG thread

    Intro:
The Master-of-arms is all about guns, A LOT of guns. Along side his multitude of assault rifles, shotguns, and miniguns, the MoA also uses explosives such as grenades, missile launchers, and the occasional fat man to lay waste against the horrors of the Mojave Wasteland. This build is meant for those players who seek a fun, simple, yet incredibly effective character who turns a player's fallout experience into that of an 80s-90s action film with the ludriciousness of a Micheal Bay movie.

    Backstory
    Spoiler:

    Role playing and Factions:
The Master of Arms is a tough son of a gun who uses his skill and proficiency in the use of firearms and explosives, as well as his above average physical attributes to forge his destiny in the Mojave Wasteland. He is a man who is willing to use excessivly violent means to lay waste against the likes of raiders, bandits, feral ghouls, mutants, dangerous creatures, and other human beings whom he deems a threat against himself and those he sees as worthy of his protection. Although he is willing to use violent means when necessary, he will only do so when he sees that its worth. Should there be more peaceful options available to resolve issues, he is open to such ideas since he would like to save his precious ammunition pool to more important targets. However, the Master of Arms is not a man who is overly good and given his violent nature, should he find it essential to open fire especially when the task at hand requires it, he will gladly do so especially if it involves him being directly challenged by those who dare oppose or even make fun of his ability to annihilate everything that moves.

    Spoiler:

HARD NOTE: build requires ALL DLC but youve already gotten that via New Vegas Ultimate Edition

    Luck - 6

    Traits
    Skilled

    Tag skills
    Guns, explosives, repair

    secondaries
    Lockpick, energy weapons

Guns, explosives, and repair represent the Master of Arms, knowledge in both the usage and maintenance of his weaponry, skills he has learned from his early days of the courier service.

Essential perks not in any order - will propely edit soon
    Rapid reload
    Educated
    Bloody mess
    Strong back
    toughness 2 ranks
    Solar powered
    Stonewall
    Heavyweight
    Grunt
    Hand loader
    jury rigging
    Demolitions expert all three ranks
Intense training 2 ranks -> luck
    Finesse
    Better criticals

    About essential perks:
Educated is simply the best perk in the game when acquired early since it effectively increases your total skill points earned and it mitigates the only average Intelligence the build has. Also it represents the Master of Arms' educational attainment as a high school and college graduate.

Hand loader enables the crafting of special types of ammunition to potentially enhance the damage he can do with his guns. Also enables you to recover more shells and casings to help recycle ammo. It represents the Master of Arms' knowledge in the creation of special ammunition that he learned from hid obsession with guns.

Jury rigging allows the Master of Arms to repair all gear he acquires in the wasteland, thus eliminating the need to use npcs. This also incentivises picking up loot to help repair your current weapons.

Heavyweight allows the MoA to comfortably carry all of his heavy weapons such as a minigun, missile launcher, grenade machinegun, gatling laser, gauss rifles, anti materiel rifles etc by reducing such weapons' carry weight. This also has insanely good synergy with strong back and solar powered for all that carrying capacity, thus holding multitudes of weapons without ever worrying about emcumberance.

Rapid reload has great synergy with a character with a decent agility rating to quickly reload weapons, thus increasing overall DPS.

Bloody mess simply for that 5% all damage multiplier since you will be using so many sifferent weapon types. Also has great synergy with Lord Death.

stonewall may sound like a weird choice for a guns character but trust me this is so good. This simply solves the issue of fast and heavy hitting melee opponents who could knock you down and New Vegas had many of these kinds of enemies, and as such are a more annoying threat than firearm wielding foes. Stonewall represents the Master of Arms' willingness to take punishment as he has endured physical harm since his younger years as a bullied kid who eventually sought retribution.

Finesse because critical hits are essential in dealing damage especially in higher levels where enemy health can scale. Also synergy with better criticald and two ranks of intense training using it to raise Luck to potentially raise the dps off the charts, alongside special ammunition use and gear.

    Other good perks
    Lifegiver
    Scrounger
    Laser commander

    Weapons:
Your choice of guns. Pick whatever is available
Sniper rifles for long range kills
    Shotguns for close quarters
Miniguns if you can find one for general all purpose clearing
Keep a melee weapon in case of emergencies.

    Clothing:
Wear some Merc Outfits in your early game (+2 guns)
Combat armor later to replace your merc outfits to increase survivability
Elite Riot Gear armor from the Lonesome road DLC as your end game armor (guns, critical chance, high DT)

    Headpieces
    1st Recon Beret (+critical chance)
