On December 6, 2009, between 12:01 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. CST, our Network Operations engineers will update the DSR and core routing policies in our data center.

During the maintenance, the network path to us may change, and you may notice temporary latency. We do not anticipate any network downtime or outage during this maintenance period.

Wow...During the times most of America is asleep XD.

Just WHO exactly are these "engineers" I've always wondered is the technical staff really from the server or something or are you just trying to sound professional by covering the ordinary admins with those titles?

Thanks for the heads up! *Gives a cookie*

I'm still not sure what you mean what will happen on the 6th of Decemeber. Can someone explain please?.

I'll probably be getting into bed by then. XD So if there is downtime, I won't be complaining about it. XD Just make sure they feed the plants or hell will break loose.

What time would those time frames be in EST?

Also, could you please repost what you said in English...I'm just trying to look out for the non-tech geeks here.... (No offense intended)

To all those confused (I myself included), Rukario is saying that some maintenance with the server's routing policy, which basically marks the data sent from your computer as a certain thing, and the DSR, which (by my guess), stands for Dynamic Source Routing, which is used to send your data to the right place.

Basically, PC shouldn't go down during this, and (once again, by my guess) might make PC a bit faster, due to it being able to differentiate between data better.

Even Simpler: PC stay online, might be fatter faster, I don't know.

Oikay, thanks for the heads up and I hope it goes as planned. :3

6th of December is my brother's birthday -_-

the techs at our data center where PC is hosted will be adjusting some edge routers for better user routing.. this may or may not affect your ability to reach PC during the maintenance period.

Its just a heads up that a) its happening and that b) you could experience lag or longer then normal page load times..

thanks for the warning... but I probably won't be on then.. Ima be in my bed.
