The Backpacker who hinted a new region was also the one who hinted a New Battle Facility in that region
So , Do you think there going to be a new Battle Frontier ?

As much as I'd like to see a new Battle Frontier, I recall the reason why the Battle Maison wasn't in ORAS was because Game Freak mentioned the Battle Frontier was "too difficult" and only a small portion of fans even cared about it. We will probably get a battle facility, but I feel like Battle Frontiers are becoming more unlikely.

I don't care one jot about battle facilities. I never once used the Battle Frontier and I only recently started using the Battle Maison because there's so little else to do in the post-game in X and Y. I don't get the obsession with post-game battle facilities, I find it extremely tedious to have to grind your way through dozens, even hundreds of battles for underwhelming reward.

I think a new Battle Frontier-type facility would be nice, if only because it'd provide the challenge that more experienced players are looking for, being a place where levels and strict type advantage don't automatically determine the outcome of a battle, but where you need a sound strategy and good tactics.

With Pokemon catering more and more to a more casual audience by streamlining experience with the EXP Share and making EV Training easier through Super Training - both great things, because they're wholly optional and you don't HAVE to use them - I can understand how veterans are feeling more and more left out. A Battle Frontier reminiscent of Emerald's would go a long way towards closing that gap.

Will it happen? I think it's possible. But I don't think it'll be a priority.

The core release games never really have anything like a full post game battle arena. The Core games tend to end as soon as you beat the main story and I don't think Sun/Moon will be any different. So as soon as we beat the Elite 4, all we'll have to do is a Battle Tower/Battle Maison like place and if we are lucky, get a little extra exploration like in Gens 2 and 5. The more combat focused post game areas won't appear until a Gen 4 remake (if any) or the next Gen 7 title release (sequel or third or something else) this will add Move tutors and all the extra features we usually get after the core titles are released.

That was a different team making ORAS though. The team that made XY is the team that is making Sun and Moon. Which means the team that hinted at a "facility you wouldn't believe" in XY is the team making Sun and Moon.

Hopefully with that facility we wouldn't believe.

    Hopefully not because it's invisible.

That would make the OrAs team lazy, and horrible at excuses if the other thinks players would find it entertaining and something they'll be willing to do in SM.

I do want a facility though!
