New collector

Hey everyone! I'm starting to get into collecting pokemon cards again, and i was wondering what you guys recommend to starting my collection. Ive opened a few booster packs and tins and such but ive seen on amazon and ebay people selling "grab bags" and things like "100 random cards". Are those viable buys or should i avoid those kind of sales?

I'd only buy those from high-rated sellers until you have become familiar with what all consists of legitimate cards. I'm sure a lot of them are actually legitimate, but the bad apple sellers ruin the reputation of the large loose lots.

Yeah i def wouldnt want to get a bunch of fake cards haha. Thanks for the info i think ill just look at those kind of sales once i get familiar with the cards in general.

I suggest not buying random cards. Go with booster boxes if you can afford them. I almost completed my Call of Legends set with 1 booster box :). I got extremely lucky! I'm new to collecting as well tho. I got 2 booster boxes and a few random packs. I open all my packs on youtube if you want to check it out. :)
