New evolution Methods for "Pikachu Family"

Since i´m not a lot into introducing myself or things like that, i´ll stick to the point.
I was browsing some pokémon for this hack i´m making and saw a image of the pikachu family tree which linked all the electric rodents in a ¿evolution? tree and this idea popped in my mind.

It would be posible to add some evolution methods to Pikachu or Pichu (mostly pichu for logic reasons) to evolve to Pachirisu, Emolga, Dedenne, etc? Most important; It would be a good idea? How would YOU do that? what requeriments would you add?

I wouldn't do it, it doesn't have much logic behind it, puts Pikachu under a spotlight it doesn't need and undermines the other electric rodents into being another way for pikachu to be a special snowflake. No thank you.
