New intro - Hey

I'n not sure if this is one of the bigger pokemon forums on the internet, but it sure seems that way!

My name is Ben, and I'm trying to get into pokemon more. I never played many of the games when I was young, except for maybe a little of my friend's copy of Red.

I've been drawn more and more into the sub culture of pokemon that deals with realism: art, fan-fics, creepy pasta, anything that deals with pokemon interactive in a realistic way with what we see as the world.

I've shut myself out of most media coverage of B&W, as it's the first real change to the franchise that I've witnessed after becoming involved.

other than that, I just want to talk shop and maybe get more knowledgeable about the battling aspect.

The sub culture of Pokemon is probably one of the most interesting outcomes of the whole franchise and I'm happy to meet someone who loves that part of it. The art especially is a big time favorite of mine. Fan-art, realistic Pokemon art, and sprites alike really interest me. Are you just a viewer of the Pokemon sub culture or have you written your own creepy pastas and fan-fics?

BW is the first real change that I've been able to witness myself too. Are you not witnessing it because you don't want to see the series change or do you just not want to spoil it before you get it like myself?

Well I'm sure if you venture around you'll be able to learn a lot more about battling. I think you'll also find that there are plenty of fan-fics and Pokemon art here too. You should even post your own if you're not just an observer like me! :3

Ayselipera, I have done some creepy (and non creepy) pokemon art (not posted yet), and I REALLY want to write some fan-fic for the franchise. Be rest assured that I'll post stuff in the boards as soon as I find the time.
