    Hello everyone,
I enter the world of competitive Pokémon battling within the last couple of months. I built an OU/singles team around charizard-x, so far it seems like a strong team, I tend to misplay a good amount and being new I'm not familiar with every play yet but I am slowly but surely getting better. I've used this team on both showdown and on wifi battles. my win-ratio I think Is roughly half and half, the more experienced players almost always beat me and I tend to beat new players or players that have a similar skill level to me. Anyway Below where I post my team I'm going to post some threats that my team struggles against, anyway here is the team:

    Hippowdon@ (leftovers)
    Ability: Sand force
    Evs: 252 hp/ 144 def/ 112 spD
    Impish nature
    -earthquake
-stone edge ( should I replace this with rock slide instead?)
    -Slack off
    -Stealth rock
I almost always lead with hippo to set up stealth rocks, he seems to work very well on this team as he can wall big physical threats and to an extent special attacks.
    Slyveon@( leftovers)
    Ability: pixilate
    Evs: 252 hp/ 220 def/ 36 spD
    Bold nature
    -hyper voice
    -Heal bell
    -Protect
    -Wish
this along with hippo forms my defensive core, its seems to be a strong core as when hippo is low on hp I can use wish to heal him up, also they have some synergy together. below is the offensive part of my team
    Mega Charizard-X @( charizardite X)
    Ability: Tough Claws
    Evs: 144 hp/ 252 atk/ 112 spe
    Adamant Nature
    - dragon dance
    - dragon claw
-flare blitz ( I could also use fire punch but I'm worried that skarmory will become a problem)
    -roost
    - one of my favorite Pokémon and the set up sweeper of my team, right now I am currently using a spread of 4 hp/252 atk/ 252 spe but I plan on changing to the above bulkier spread to better set up and live longer
    Scizor@ (choice band)
    Ability: Technician
    Evs: 248 hp/ 252 atk/ 8 spD
    Adamant Nature
    - bullet punch
    - u-turn
    -superpower
    -pursuit
good for revenge killing and hitting threats with pursuit
    Starmie@ (life orb)
    Ability: Analytic
    Evs: 4 hp/ 252 spA/ 252 spe
    Timid nature
    -hydro pump
    -psyshock
    -ice beam
    -rapid spin
my spinner and a special sweeper as well
    Gengar@ (life orb)
    ability: levitate
    Evs: 4 hp/ 252 spA/ 252 spe
    Timid nature
    -shadow ball
    -sludge bomb
    -focus blast
-icy wind ( great for luring in garchomp)
main special sweeper and also works well with zard as I can which in on ground types and often ko them with icy wind
    Theats:
Rotom-w: this seems to be the biggest issue for my team as my best way of dealing with it is with sylveon or possibly gengar, the problem is that is that my team has a difficult time getting around volt-switch/pain split, however I read on smogon that the set of cahrizard-x I plan on using can set up on rotom but I don't know if that is a good idea considering will-O-wisp.
Quagshire: its very bulky on the defensive side and somewhat bulky on the special side and I have no grass type attackers, I only saw it once but it was kinda difficult to bring down. I would say that he is somewhat of a threat but not a major threat because he isn't used a whole lot.
Mega Scizor: although X will demolish scizor he often times is at low hp or has already fainted, it may be due to my current skill level as to why I am having a difficult time against him.
Please feel free to make suggestions especially if it makes the team deal with rotom-w better.
    Thank you
Also sorry bout the typo in competitive

Don't even consider Fire Punch on Charizard. It needs the raw power of Flare Blitz to really break through things and you already have Dragon Claw as a "safe" STAB.
