[Other] New to Decomp & Disassembly

Hello PokéCommunity, I've recently heard about Decomp & Disassembly. There would be some advantages over basic ROM hacking, right? So I have some questions about this:

Would it be possible to port some features from PokeEmerald to PokeFireRed and would it function correctly?

Can I use files from the "Complete FireRed Upgrade" in PokeFireRed?

What are some bases and great resources? (Like a complete decapitalisation)

Those are some questions I've have for now. Hope anyone would answer them. Thanks

Assuming you don't make mistakes during the process, yes.

Not as is. You'll have to adapt a lot of stuff most likely, as the CFRU uses labels for its functions that are different compared to Pokefirered's or Pokeeemerald's, not to mention it has functions of its own.

Check out the Decomp & Disassembly Tutorials & Resources Section.
The most popular "bases" around are the feature branches originally designed by DizzyEgg and currently mantained by a group of people (ROM Hacking Hideout)
An overhaul of the battle_engine, an expansion of Pokémon Emerald's items, and an expansion of species.
More info about them here.

I have another question, is it possible to change the players in PokeEmerald to someone else? (Making Red and Leaf playable without replacing Brendan and May's sprites.)
