New to TCG

Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll be able to afford the cards anytime soon :( But I used to have cards, and I would love to get into the game eventually. I just have a couple questions.

In the newer packs, do they still have some of the original 151 Pokémon?

How does the evolution work with Baby Pokémon, in regards to older cards? Babies weren't introduced until after the 151 ... like Pichu. So if I were to have an older Pikachu card, and a newer Pichu card, could I use the two together?

Last question ... does anyone have any tips?

Actually, you could use the older Pikachu card and the newer Pichu card together... just not at tournaments, as the older Pikachu isn't tournament legal not being from a currently tournament legal set. Most of the Pichu cards about aren't tournament legal, either.

The only packs that i think have some of the old pokemon(that are still in stores) would be from the platinum and soulsilver/heartgold designed packs.To strictly answer no the new packs only have black and white pokemon.
