Well, me and Karli (Sachi) have been editing the rules for quite some time. So now I'll just make this new thread with all our revisions. Karli and I shall edit this if need be, so be sure to check up on it. ^_~
New Users / Welcome Rules
--No SPAM threads.
This is pretty self-explanatory. ^.~ No threads such as "Pokemon is Dumb!!!!1111" or "Where are the ROMs and Hacks?" The thread will be closed or moved, and it will probably get you into trouble.
--Just say "Hi."
In welcome threads, please just say "Hello". Don't make a welcome thread into a discussion thread. Simply PM the member to chat, or visit the November Daily Chit-Chat in Other Chat. If you have a question, simply PM a moderator and they will help you, or visit New Users Hang Out. =3
--Dont post in a thread more then once.
Referring to the previous rule, please do not post in a welcome thread more than once. ^^; By doing this it causes the thread to go off~topic.
--No Name Change threads allowed.
Please, no Name Change threads. Only mods are allowed to make Name Change threads to avoid confusion and people going "OMG why is so-and-so a mod?!" and such. ^.~ Regular members please feel free to post in the Name Change thread.
--Do not bump topics.
Any topics over one month old are not to be revived. This is called "bumping" and it is forbidden at this specific forum. This is also considered SPAM.
--Welcome Back threads...
Welcome threads are now allowed back at PC, although you must have been away for at least one month (30 days). However, leaving threads are still forbidden. If you are going away, please post in the Leave/Absence thread. =3
--Pretending to be new...
Sort of self-explanitory. Do not sign up again, change your name, and then come to NU/W-or anywhere else for that matter-pretending that you are new to the forums. Its disrespectful, so please do not do that.
--Copying and Pasting.
While welcoming a member, dont copy and paste the same message over and over again. Use a different message each time if possible. ^_~ It doesn't have to be too different, but it cant be exactly the same as your last message. By making each welcome a little bit defferent than your last, it makes the member feel more welcome that you took the time to actually read their thread and properly welcome them. ^____^
--Use the report button!
Okay, obviously us mods don't check a thread every time someone posts in it. Oo And, seeing New Users / Welcome is probably the spammiest forum on PC, we urge you to use the report button. ^.~
--Do not make a Welcome Back thread if...
Don't make a welcome back thread if you are returning from a ban. Banning is a punishment for committing a wrong act here at PC, and it is no excuse for making a welcome back thread about it.
--Any Questions?
Well, if you have any questions about how this site works or just basic questions about a certain forum, please post in the Community Questions & Feedback or in the New People Hang Out. Also, check out the Links for Newbies. Don't be afraid to PM a mod or any other staff member if you have questions. Even if you're not a new member, us moddie woddies are here to help. ^_~
