What kind of personality Ash should have in Next series ?

I want Next Ash to be Self-centered , Egoistic , Arrogant , Short-tempered ,Attention seeker, Carefree and mischievous.
I know those are "Negative Quality" But they can be Bad or Good depending on how its portrayed on a character.
Suppose , Pride is one of Seven Sin and its bad to have too much pride ! But A Man without any pride is even WORST.
So , Pride can be Good or Bad depending on how its shown on a Character.
I think , The Biggest problem with XY/DP Ash is his lack of Negative Quality.
Writer showcase him like a Good Boy that every parents wants.
However , Kids want A Protagonist who has both Good and Bad side in him just like any other Human being .
That why characters like Dekisugi (Doreamon) or TK (Digimon) never becomes the main protagonist due to their flawless perfect Good Boy persona.
Thats Why I want a Strong , Smart , sharp yet Immature Ash ! Just like Goku (DB) or Natsu (Fairy tail).

What the next incarnation of Satoshi needs is a character arc. That's the kind of thing people actually respond to, not a random checklist of arbitrary personality traits. There needs to be something for Satoshi to learn so that he comes away from his journey a little bit stronger, even if he doesn't win the League.

XY!Satoshi's failing isn't that he's more even-tempered that how he was in OS or AG. It's certainly not a bad thing that Satoshi in XY is presented as a strong trainer. If people actually want Satoshi's character to evolve, then he has to be able to be written in different ways rather than just repeating the same character beats over and over. Satoshi's failing in XY (… and AG, and BW…) is that his journey has no purpose to it besides the usual "capture five or six new Pokémon, get eight badges, challenge the League".

Unfortunately, the only series that's actually given Satoshi any sort of consistent character arc is DP (and dismissing it because Satoshi doesn't fit some made-up standard for what makes a good character is… frankly, stupid). So I doubt the Sun & Moon anime will be any different than what XY has been.

Considering how BW Ash was completely different then DP Ash So We can't anything for sure in next series.
Honestly , I think it would be better if Next Ash become more like "Orange League Ash" where he will smart & strong but also maintain his flaw as a child.
Also , I would like Next Ash to be as smart as Lack-two from PokeSpe! In fact , I'm annoyed by Ash's "wait until Team flare attack again to find info" attitude. I would prefer Ash investigating to find Squashy's origin and Team flare goal.

Ash's personality is already established and shouldn't be changed, unless it's for character development, which, however, is not what you suggest. That's part of what was wrong with BW, so no more of such character changes, thank you very much. However, character developing story arc, as Lizardo wrote, yes, with that I agree.

No, I don't think Ash's character is gonna change much in any series. It'll just be the same, as it has always been.
