Kazuhito said:One) KidsWB doesn't dub, they're just the channel. Two) the content is managed by the sponsors of the show, and without any sponsors, the shows wouldn't be on air in the first place. Three) The violence in those shows is of a different nature and American shows have had it easier since just about always.
Um... I'm aware that KidsWB does not dub the show. However, on the Internet I have heard many people debate about who exactly decides what to cut and what not to cut from the shows. Wouldn't KidsWB have a different standard for their shows than say Disney? I'm sure they must have some say, though I could be wrong. However I didn't know about the sponsors so thanks for telling me. And what exactly are the standards that they measure violence against? That's what I am confused about.
It was done mainly for the games as she does play a much bigger role in the games themselves compared to the anime where she appears once or twice every few hundred episodes. It was also a Nintendo edit, not a KidsWB edit.
I never said changing her color was a KidsWB edit. I left that part out because I wasn't aware of who did the first edit. ^-^
Again, not KidsWB. And do you honestly think they'll care about the "hardcore" fandom? That part of the fandom is already out of their demographic, so it doesn't matter if they like it or not, as long as they get their main ratings from the demo that they want. It's already been stated that these episodes will be run at a later time. 4Kids already paid to dub the episodes, so unless they plan to do a DVD only release, they will eventually air.
I was going off of the first post's information. It said that:
2) Kids' WB! is skipping three episodes.
Thus I stated that KidsWB was to blame for skipping the episodes. And I am agreeing with you on the last part. You must have misunderstood... I was saying that they didn't care about the 'hardcore fandom'. Of course they wouldn't-- we're not the loads of children that go out and buy all of their merchandise. I personally don't really care if they air them at a later date; my anger was coming from the fact that they had to do anything out of the ordinary at all.
Lastly, my apologies if I seemed like I implied that KidsWB was the company dubbing the show. I am fully aware that 4Kids is the one to do that job. I just get confused about who decides how much they cut. It has always been an area of confusion for me.
