Ticket sales picking up
The Jaguars are getting closer to their goal of 45,000 non-premium season tickets sold.
Tim Connolly, the team's senior vice president of business development, said 43,300 non-premium season tickets were sold as of Tuesday afternoon and that sales have been steady since training camp started last weekend.
Single-game sales for the regular season begin Saturday, Aug. 20. The Jaguars have covered almost 10,000 seats and are hoping to avoid blackouts through non-premium season tickets and group sales of 4,000-5,000 per game.
"The problem is, we only have nine days to sell [the rest of] them," Connolly said, referring to the start of the team's preseason schedule.
The Jaguars, however, will continue to offer prorated season tickets for sale after the exhibition home opener against Miami.
