Ninjask - Endure/Protect

I had a great idea for using Ninjask with both Endure and Protect, but want to find out if it'll work before beginning to train/breed one for it.

How does the chance of Protect/Endure work? My understanding is it has 100% chance of working on the first turn you use it, then drops for each *consecutive* try at it. Is this correct? If I alternate use of Protect, will the chance be 100% again? You see where I'm going here: Protect/Endure/Protect/Endure/Protect/Endure/Protect/Endure/Baton Pass!!

This screws up if either the chance of endure/protect are shared, or the chances drop permanantly or till switch out.

Anyone clear this up for me?

    Cheers,

You know, that's a good question. Hmm. I think it works, but I don't know. I'll see and try to get back to you on that.

Cheers for the feedback guys :)

Fingers crossed Tig's misfortunate was just that and this is possible, even if not 100% but high enough to be workable, at least long enough to deter the opponent attacking it in the first place beliving he's invincible... as that would result in a practically invincible speed BPer :D Something tells me it'd be too good to be true though...

    that will not work...

doing endure and protect again and again is like doing protect and protect or endure and endure again... chances are slim... the same thing goes w/ endure + detect or detect + protect

Although, they haven't fixed that in NetBattle. I've battled someone with a Protect/Detect Hitmontop, and neither move failed when used in succession with each other -- ever.

    Ninjask can get Endure? wtf?

    biggest hax... EVER...

Protect, Detect and Indure all work the same way, it always goes first. Call this your luck percentage/ratio. The first one will always work, once you use it the chance gets cut in half until it just plains fails, and since all of these moves work in the same way, you will just keep failing and failing until you get knocked out.

Indure Ninjask is just asking for Tyranitar to own you without attack, so bleh...

Kholdstaire, Endure can be taught to Ninjask by Move Tutor on LG/FR...

Yeah guys cheers for the feedback, you're right it turned out to be a dead end. Shame really as I wouldn't have considered it *that* broken if it had worked, as it'd only really be useful for BPing with Ninjask's Speed Boost... Shame though... :) Still I found the Protect/Sub combo works really well... I just wish Ninjask had a healing move. Maybe a light barrier + wish pseudopass to him would work if I wanna use him for BP twice in a match...

    Thanks guys!

    Yeah, it doesn't work.
All those first turn protection moves are run off the same percentage ratio which drops after the use of them.
Of course, it CAN still work, but the chances of it happening drop, and they do still drop even if you change the protection move.
And the idea for Ninjask is to Baton Pass his Speed Boosts and/or Sword's Dance's to another pokemon.
I don't think he was made as a staller..
Personally, I've used him with great luck as an all out attacker..

Yes I'm aware of that, my idea was that as long as Ninjask only came out at the end of a turn (after another faints) Ninjask would be able to BP anyone on the team as many times as I liked... alas it was not to be :)
