It seems that ntendo has done a brillent game and are about to become even richer then before but do you think they will be able to keep up with the pokemon games after adding nearly all our needs in the upcoming games.I think it will be hard to keep up with there pokemon games but what do you guys think?

i think it would be hard for us but nintendo has an entire staff of people. they can easily look in their database or w/e to see these things. they could have some difficulty as it goes because pokemon is evolving (sorry for the pun) and more and more thought has to go into the games and pokemon since there are more and more each time.

well gamefreak is its own entity and they of course have a whole staff of professionals. nintendo, however, does research for gamefreak when necessary. so that means yes, they wouldn't make new generations without enhancements on the features of the games.

besides, it's not that hard to think of. there's trainer customizing, voice compability, different storylines and so much more. one feature that i'm waiting to see is moveset reservations where you can reserve your pokemon to have two other moves (6 in total), but you can only battle with 4 at a time. so whenever you want to modify the moves, you can switch them out of battle, and when you complete all the missions of the game, can switch them in battle, but not when they are battling themselves. notice in the anime, pikachu knows several different moves (thunder bolt, quick attack, thunder, volt tackle, iron tail, and agility), but it never uses all of them in one battle. bring that realism into the game would be awesome and would make competitive battling a whole lot more chaotic.

But that would make it incredibly easy to teach pokemon a different set of moves and overall increase everyone's ability which at certain levels is high enough. i don't want game freak to make a game based off the show. that would send things way out of wack. they did that (slightly) with yellow but nonetheless the games should be independant of the show.

    I agree that they should allow customization of the playable trainers. Let people start from scratch and make their own, sort of like Battle Revolution is doing. That way it's not always the same four - and now back down to the new two - trainer characters facing themselves from another dimension. <.<;;

i am right there with you i agree 100%:D

I agree with you Ichida, they should of have made customizing characeters, like hair, hair color, eye color, skin color, etc.
maybe they will do that with Generation 5

Diamond and Pearl are great games, lots of new features, new pokemons, new attacks, etc.

HOWERVER Nintendo/Game Freak always do something to spoil the great work.

First I will start with translation from JAP -> US.
Some names became really ridiculous in the american version of D/P, like the attack: Meteoric Swarm, that become DRACO METEOR!:cross-eye
Or team Galaxy that become team GALATIC:knockedou (they must like milk based things)

Also some of the new pokemons DO looks like a 3 years old kid´s hand drawing:tired: :

    just for example...

Gamefreak need to lay off the new Pokemon and concentrate on the actual RPG element of the game with the next set of games.

I have dreams of Square Enix acquiring the rights to the Pokemon franchise. The direction they could take the franchise and the gaming quality they could deliver with it is damn near orgasmic.

Yes but it would take the fun out of the game when you're going round in Hoenn hitting Pokemon with giant Kantanas. Imagine the anime for the generation, 4kids would sensor the episodes into 2 second long clips.

they did, hence Pokemon Ranger... what a horrible game XD

Ranger wasn't an RPG. <.<; It was an attempt to revive the lost art of Beyblading. (y)

oh. i don't play much games so i lack perception of what is considered an RPG or not. but still... ranger is pretty horrible. =P

I agree that Ranger lacked Certain Elements. The only thing that was good about it was Its bonus missions. like the one to get manaphi

Well japanese names always sound better. Especially the Diaruga to Dialaga. I'm going to rename my Dialaga to it's japanese name, it's cooler.

It's Dialga, not Dialaga. Dialga and Diaruga are the same name, only Diaruga is romanized Japanese, and since Ls are pronounced as Rs in Japanese, Diaruga = Dialga.

Being a Square Game doesn´t means the people in the game need to use giant katanas!:knockedou

You see, some people like to complain about me complaining about some pokemon games, When Ranger was launched I complained about how horrible it was, and now people say that Ranger is actually horrible!
Now I complained about PBR, let´s see the results!:P

    MWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ranger had less thought in the ral game and more in the effects to the pearl and dimond

i have a few points i'd like to say:
    1. my first post in like 2 years
    2. i bought ranger just to get manafi (took me a day to beat the whole damn game)
    3. beyblade rox :D
    4. joke ^
    5. the actual point, heres my idea on the 5th gen. First, we stop making newer and even more sad attempts at new pokemon. Second, we add the ultimate customization element (draw your own pokeball covers and shirts and stuff). Third, we add 3 different story lines (1 for trainers 1 for breeders 1 for coordinator). Fourth and finally, we add the ultimate element to the game....Voice Recognition (ex. Record your voice when you send out a pokemon, record your voide for an attack, and many more options).

As interesting as all your suggestions have been, the fact is that the same game formula has worked for them ever since the release of the first generation games.

Many of us have played MD or Ranger and yet still prefer the classic gameplay style. If the target audience remains like this, then what reason is there for Nintendo and Game Freak to change the games. Simple little features are fine, but don't be expecting the game play to change dramatically any time soon.
