(Is this the right part of the forum for this? o_o)

    Right.
Me and my sister currently 'share' a DS, but neglect on her half meant the poor thing got wet. As a result, our screen has gone 'blobby' - and it looks like oil does, when it mixes with water.
My GBA gets similar-looking 'sunspots' in hot weather, but these fade after a few minutes. The blobby effect the water gave me hasn't faded, and it's getting annoying.
Has anyone else had this problem? And is there a way to fix it?
I'm planning to buy the DS Lite when it comes out, but I'd still prefer to have the origional model working until then.

I checked the warranty, but as the damage was due to 'negligence on the owner's behalf' I don't think I can get it exchanged.
However, I'm going to try. Thanks!

If worse comes to worse you could try EBGames.

When my GCN's laser died (because laser are such a fickle thing like hard drives and can die at any moment without reason) last year I had already ahd my GCN since the launch of the system. So... my warranty was up. But EBGames took it and gave me a credit which I used towards purchasing a new system. The GCN also went through lots of price cuts, so with the price cuts and my credit (and I think I had a gift certificate) I ended up with a shiny new silver GCN for less money then it cost me to buy my original purple GCN.
