    i remember awile and i do mean awile i was subscribed to nintendo powered and entered a mail in contest for a mew i won and i still have the mew till this date it's on my old crystal version but i am wondering if any body else entered and won
     
    Not a Nintendo Power Mew contest, but something similar.

    I entered a Nintendo Official Magazine contest back in '01 to win one of 251 Celebi's; to give people who couldn't visit the G/S Celebi tour a chance to get the elusive legendary.

    I won, posted my cart and got it back a few days later complete with Celebi! :) About a year later my save got corrupted and I lost it. :(

    I've been Celebi-less ever since.
     
    I lived in middle-of-nowhere texas at the time, so visiting any nintendo event was out of the question. So I bought mister gameshark. Of course it corrupted my game, but I didn't learn my lesson. I did it two more times to get legendaries. Now, it's like 8 years later and I'm trying to go back and redo all the games with no cheats or hacks of any kind. Which I've never done before. This will be interesting...
     
    Haha, I remember my cousin totally fcking up his game with that Gameshark. Lol, the look on his face when it froze. xD
     
    i remember messing up my red version using the missing no trick however i transferred mew to crstal before that happened i also suggest if using a game shark to have an extra verion of the game i myself have a silver version for use with my gameshark which oddly enough is working till this day hmm
