Nintendo running out of ideas?

    Well, We've all seen the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Pokémon, but most off them are just so ugly, I can't bare to see them. *Seriously* Has Nintendo ran out of ideas? Can't they think of something new?


    Seriously, When this new Pokémon Advanced generation started, the new Pokémon have started to look HORRIBLE!!
     
    I can feel that Nintendo is starting to run out of ideas for new pokemon, and yes some of the new pokemon are ugly, like spiritomb and probopass.
    But not ALL the pokemon are ugly or unthoughtful, many like Garchomp, Electivire, and Rhyperior are quite cool. Not to mention Legendaries like palkia and Dialga!

    I used to hate the Hoenn Pokémon, I grew to like them. I like some Sinnoh Pokémon, but a lot I hate. That's as far as I think I'll go with them, if you hate them so much. Avoid watching the series and using the one's you hate, it's what I do. Although I don't want the series because it sucks.

    Even though I do obviously think they are running out of ideas, I couldn't say that the Pokemon are exactly ugly. It feels kinda weird talking about a Pokemons looks *pinch me if I'm dreaming*. But anyways, the new Pokemon are just unique in their own little/big way. That's all in my opinion.

    W00t! Garchomp, Rhyperior, and Electivire all own, amen bro!

    Anyways, every generation has its own group of pokemon that people seem to not like in terms of design, you have to deal with the fact that GameFreak doesn't design all the pokemon in your favor of taste, they have to appeal and entertain millions of others with all different tastes.

    You are completely right uberchomp, I think that nintendo still has new ideas to come.
     
    Once I saw Rotom's design, I knew they were starting to get a bit desperate :P

    Thanks for the support, I feel the same way. Nintendo and GameFreak have hundreds of more designs up their sleeves and in their minds, most likely. Everyone just needs to be patient, no gen can be perfect.
     
    What in this new generation isnt new? and I bet you play pokemon DPPt. stop hating on something that wont change.

    I wasnt talking to you, I was talking to the one who started this thread hun.
     
    No the're not.

    They are always thinking up new Idea's and not All the Sinnoh Pokemon are ugly...Probopass yes.

    I mean look at some of the games/hacks people here make and they add new pokemon that look great, and if we can do it I'm sure the people who created pokemon can too.

    Yeah, I agree with you. There is no end to a creative person's imagination, ESPECIALLY when they are paid to think up ideas like designs for future pokemon.

    I agree with you, too. I always wondered if they would put those cool type of hacked pokemon into the official pokemon game.
     
    On the contrary, a lot of the Sinnoh Pokemon have quickly become some of my favorites as far as design goes. Leafeon, Glaceon, Happiny, Glameow, Riolu, Manaphy, etc.

    When Gold and Silver first came out, I was unhappy with the Johto designs. I thought they didn't look anything like Pokemon, but I gave it some time and after finally playing the game(and collected the cards) I changed my mind.

    I was, however, a little disappointed that so many of the D/P Pokemon were just new evolutions of old pokemon. I hope they come out a new type of evolution in the future. I remember the excitement when I first heard about pre-evolutions. The next game definitely needs something new to work with, at least I think so anyway.

    GREAT! I thought I was the only one who hated Sinnoh Pokemon that much.
     
    Well sweetie, don't you mean is GameFreak out of ideas? GameFreak are the ones who develop Pokémon, Nintendo just publishes the games.

    Anyway, I really don't think they're running out of ideas for Pokémon creature and gameplay wise. However, I do think the designs for the Pokémon are either a hit or miss compared to the original 151. The next 100 fit in perfectly in my opinion since they do retain the essence and look of the original Pokémon. However, honestly, some of the later Pokémon designs after GSC did kinda took awhile to get used too.
    But yeah sweeties, I don't think they're running out of ideas, just trying some new things.
