Nintendo's Main Man

Yeah, it's a shame that there hasn't been a new Mario side-scroller in over a decade.

But 2005 is the year of Mario! With "The New Super Mario Bros.," "Mario Superstar Baseball," "Mario Party 7," "Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix," "Mario & Luigi 2 (no one mentioned that yet... O.O)," "Mario Strikers (a soccer game that even makes ME think Nintendo's pushing it too far -_-)," and ...two other games that I can't remember(can someone help me there?)...

Also, I don't like how they're using the character, "Petey Piranha." Ever since his debut in "Super Mario Sunshine," he appeared in "Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour," "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!," and "Mario Power Tennis" as a pathetically strong hidden character.

If Nintendo wants to turn Mario into a spin-off-only character, then I won't tolerate it! Mario hasn't made a console platformer since "Super Mario Sunshine!" The least they can do is team up with Square Enix one final time to make an official sequel of "Super Mario RPG (I don't think Paper Mario was...)!"
 
I do agree with that.Mario's having too much spinoffs.Where's the action?
I really think they should make a new mario platformer(other than New Super Mario Bros)I really like to see mario in action again,instead of mini games and racing an all that.Also,i think Mario has more RPG's than platform.Cause in the other games(except Mario 64 DS)i don't see Mario grabbing a mushroom and growing anymore,which kinda sucks.I want Mario to be in another platform game where he uses a super mushroom to squish his enemies.
And the Mario DDR thing,it's kinda nice,i already know 1 song they use in the game.
 
they're just milking the name, it's not like these games are good anyway, I agree with bonzaimudkip, let's get back to the good 'ol platformor, I think even Super Mario Sunshine was rubbish really, there hasn't been any decent Mario game apart of Mario Kart and Mario 64. ANd the Paper Mario series is okay though...
 
i love that red guy. but Mario needs a rest make a ness game or ice clibers or even dundundun Mr.Game and Watch.

4 Mario Baseball. i help test games.
5 Super mario 3.
but Luigi is better
