No Clue Where to Begin with Project(s) (Question)

    Hello! I am a person with essentially no experience with rom hacking, who wants to make either: a) a difficulty hack of fire red and/or emerald (+ rebalancing stuff, QoL etc.) or b) an entirely new game with all pokemon and rebalanced stuff. I have a lot of ideas for stuff I want to do with either, but I have no clue where to begin, and am finding it difficult to find/comprehend guides.

    Any and all help would be very much appreciated (and needed lol)
     
    Check out either the Complete Fire Red Upgrade or Dizzy Egg'sEmerald Upgrade.

    They're pretty easy to follow and really give you a lot of flexibility with what you want to achieve

    This doesn't seem like a good idea if you're just starting out. Better look at those after getting an idea of some of the basics things you can do in ROM hacking. I'd recommend following Anthroyd's Gen III ROM Hacking Series on Youtube. Those can help you get started with most of the basics in ROM hacking.
