No more Ubers

I guess I'm just going to have to split my team then...I can replace pika and charizard with dialga and lugia and then Finish off the other party I was going for, which had no other ubers in it...

By the way is mew considered an uber?

Well, it does teach those newbs a big lesson, but its not far to people like me, who have trained legendaries and ubers very hard. Like I have my Kyogre and Groudon EV trained, and at level one hundred, all legetly. Why should hard-core players like me have to pay the price of these newbs. Whats the point of taking away these newbs ubers if they don't even know how to use them correctly, but us hard-core trainers get the full blunt of it. Its just not fair, I swear, newbs are like little siblings, they ruin everything...

Not entirely. If that is the case, then we all have to use ubers just to even out the game. I don't like to use ubers, but now I have to? I trained my Torterra from the start, but I can't use him cause you have a Mew? Like bringing a Gun to a fist fight. It makes you overpowered, shutting out maybe 480 other pokemon.

If you like them so much, then, as I , and all others on this thread said, there should be an arena specifically for uber users.

Also, as I stated I don't use ubers. That doesn't make me a newb. But I was a bit confused with what you wrote, so forgive me if I misunderstood you, and wrote something you didn't mean....

It is ashame for people who use only one or two ubers responsibly, but, like Captian said, newbs using ubers irresponibly (if he meant that) ruined it for you guys.. Sorry. With great power comes great responsibility, (I heard that somewhere, don't remember) adn some people used ubers the wrong way, like I posted before. Now if you excuse me, I feel like watching something action-ee...

I don't really think a mew is any stronger than another pokemon that is trained well, I'm sure that your torterra could beat my mew because I'm not the best trainer myself :-/

The only reason I even have a mew is because I'm trying to rebuild my blue version team. I'm not using an "uber" because it is super strong, I'm mainly just using it because I miss the good ol' days of pokemon blue/red/yellow

I'm sure some of the other pokemon I have chosen for my team aren't that strong, I'm not trying to create a team of "uber" pokemon, just a team of pokemon I like a lot.

If they were to change the rules I wouldn't go into a rampage, I can find another 1st generation pokemon to fill the place of mew, maybe a dragonite, butterfree, or pidgeot.

No, not you. I only used Mew as a cheap little excuse. Mew was the first legendary I could think of. This is what I mean, although Mew is not an uber, you wouldn't be able to use him cause of people using ubers like crazy. Then saying that they are the best while using ubers.

o, ok, lol, yea, I didn't think Mew was considered an uber

Not to get off-topic, but I think I read somewhere that it is. It's base stats are all 100, and he learns EVERY MOVE AVALIBLE. That would make Mew an uber. But I don't remember.

o... well either way, it doesnt really matter, I can always train a different pokemon, ok back to the topic :-)

Well, just because someone may use ubers or legendaries, doesn't mak them newbs. But yes, newbs are using ubers iresposibly, and were are the ones who are gonna pay for it, not them.

I wasn't saying you was a newb. I thought you were saying those who don't use ubers are newbs. I was mistaken, my bad.

Aww, I wanted to flaunt my hard-earned, EVed, shiny Dialga. :(

As has been said, ubers ought to be tiered, not just outright banned. Yes, ubers make the other 90% of Pokémon obsolete, keeping them away from online play, but banning ubers keeps them away from online play, trivially. Every Pokémon deserves a chance in the lime light, brokenly overpowered or otherwise. Serious competitive battlers can play in the Uber Metagame, too. Tiering them keeps them away from overused and "favourites" (usually UU) teams.

So it seems what started out as rumors is now truth. I was forced to remove Groudon from my battle pass before I could use it in Wifi, and no one I played tonight was using ubers. Though one person did have a Cresselia and a Mesprit, so apparently not all legendaries are banned. and it had an effect on my win loss ratio. while the previous night when ubers were legal, I wnet 2-5. tonight I went 5-5, so my win loss ratio is more even.

Yes! It's finally happened! Now the n00bs will be forced to try and raise an actual competition battle team! Let purification sweep the land! :P

Too bad though, I was having fun OHKOing random kids' Dialgas. :P

They edited their report though. seems the banning of legendaries was only a glitch in the system, which they intend on fixing.

T~T Argh, damn Nintendo always has to stick up for the children. They're not doing them any good in the long run by letting them use legendaries competitively.

Am I the only one who does not think Wobbuffet is an 00ber? It's total stats aren't even HALF of, say, Groudon. He has a pre-evo, and also is in the Great Ball class (in Challenge Cup). What is it, the moveset of Encore, Counter, Mirror Coat, & Destiny Bond? You know THOUSANDS of others can have the same moves. Besides, a Houndoom w/ Dark Pulse could kill it in one shot.
