    I am new, but i've been doing a fair amount of downloading of the hacks that are in the hack showcase...and i cannot get a single one of them to work.

    i have the proper emulator, but the IPS file thing doesn't register, do i have to download some kind of IPS reader in order to make it work or am i pretty much all around screwed on that?

    Welcome to PC! Yes, you need an IPS patcher to make it work, along with whatever ROM they hacked with (i.e. Ruby rom) I would recommend Lunar IPS, but there are plenty out there that work great.

    got the patcher, and have tried using it...not working. is there a specific order to using it? there are two options, Create IPS Patch or Apply IPS Patch. do i use Apply? or Create? and when i choose one or the other which comes first, the real game or the hacked version?

    plus, if i'm doing everything right, my gameboy advance player keeps rejecting it saying unsupported file type...is that with or without the patching?

    It's right here, so I'd try asking this same thing in the thread, and you should get some pretty good answers~. I know some people have already somewhat answered you here, but if you're confused about anything else, or want it explained better you should head to the actual Emulation area. :3
