Noob-ish Question

    I recently returned to playing pokemon tcg. I played it a while back when I was younger but didn't really took it seriously, so I just want to know what are the common and uncommon deck types out there. Thanks.
     
    That's a question that's got a bit of a complex answer.

    There are several archetypes considered "Tier 1" decks, and several more are "borderline" decks that are pretty good but not quite "Tier 1" material. Three I can think of:

    Zekrom decks
    Reshiram decks
    Yanmega decks

    And there are several sub-types of these decks, all of which require a level of detail I do not have the energy to go into detail about at 3 AM my local time.
