3rd Gen Noob questions

Sorry for the potential wrong forum post, it's been a while since I visited. Anyway, today I'm planning on purchasing Pokemon Fire Red, and starting my pokemon adventure anew, but I have some general questions:

1) Eventually I'll want to buy diamond and pearl, but I heard that if I taught a pokemon an HM, that I can't migrate them to Pokemon Diamond? Is there a work around for this?

2) What are the "exclusives" for Red and Green? It's been ages since I played Red and Blue, so I forgot what the differences between versions were?

3) I have a GBA SP, does this means I have to buy a special Gamecub - GBA SP link, or will the one that works with the fat GBA work with the gamecube?

i can anwser no.1 no u cant migrate pkmn with HM moves u must go to move deleter then trade em over
NO.2 in Fire red and leaf green u find different pokes in each but theres extra islands in the new versions.

go to side click on fire red/leaf green
it should say what the differences/ it has every game pkmn in there and a pokedex

Ummm... I'm going to assume you mean "or will the on that works for the fat GBA work with the SP?, because otherwise I don't understand the question anymore... hah :P
A normal GBA/GCN link cable should work for both the GBA and the GBA SP. I bought a GBA/GCN cable for PKMN XD and it works fine on both the GBA and GBA SP.
