[Legends: Arceus] Noob research question

    Hello all. Happy to have found this site and be here. Just a quick question, as this is basically my first Pokémon game, which is how to raise research levels for my Pokémon? My Pokédex is telling me I have like 30 research tasks to turn in but when I talk to Laventon he just keeps telling me we have lots of work to do and doesn't do anything else. Am I doing something wrong?
     
    That's weird, I've never heard of this. So you did some tasks like catching/battling/using moves etc that you've not reported to the Professor yet, and when you go to the campsite to talk to him he doesn't say anything about them? Just want to be sure I'm understanding correctly since I've not heard this bug shared around before!
     
    Nevermind, I'm dumb. It was simply that I hadn't finished the early quest I was on and didn't talk to Akara in the last step. Once I found her again and spoke to her, she took me to the professor, then to the captain, and everything got turned in correctly. Guess I jumped the gun and didn't realize I hadn't finished the quest final step.
