6th Gen Nostalgic feel from a new game?

While playing X (I finally have it in my possession, woop!), I had the slight feel of Unova, Lumiose felt very much like Castelia, maybe that it was a large-ass city or something like that, I'm only in Parfum Palace's courtyard

at the moment, so I have no idea and I don't want to know what happens next...

It's attempting to link the old games to this generation, so it should be evoking that kind of emotion. Seeing my favorite Pokemon all over again has been a nostalgia fest for me, and I haven't even trained a single one to level 100 yet. It's a pretty big feel trip.

Lots of old pokemon, kanto starters, mega evolutions, riding lapras, etc. pretty evident it's trying to get some nostalgia
