That's not the problem. Maybe I should rephrase.
The problem is that there are a few people that will say you're not a true Pokemon fan, or something along those lines, just because you complain about the issues with the Anime or Games.
That's what I'm wondering, if you've encountered people like that.
Believe me, SBaby, I know exactly how you feel.
I felt that the show, since AG, was succumbing among other things that made even Johto seem higher in popularity Globally. I mean, while it is true that Japan currently has high ratings for the show, considering how it's a global corporation, Japan's ratings alone aren't really enough to save it's status. I mean, besides Japan, the show worldwide has very low ratings, and that's if they are lucky enough to be still airing, The Movies are either being delayed for more years, or it has to be released to DTD/DTV because it's box office ratings are so severely low that they aren't even given a CHANCE to be placed into theaters.
This trend of a significant, continual decrease was contributed to their removing a certain female character from the Main cast, someone that people for 5 whole years attempted to bring back, because we were loyal to her, well that and we didn't like how they were having the current females act, but loyal to her nonetheless. We tried telling the rest of the fanbase how it was a bad move on the writers part in regards to removing her.
Heck, I also attempted to warn everyone (even the dormant Misty fans on bulbagarden forums [and most of the ones I tried to contact were mods, who, frankly, are not even following their own rules, as far as i can tell.].) what will happen to the female population if she doesn't return [not to mention if we don't try to bring her back]. but the majority never listened to a word I said, and even went as far as accusing me of not being a true fan because I stated a plan to boycott the franchise to bring her back and (in one member's case on Serebiiforums), Insulted my family, classmates, and friends just because I gave a rallying message to everyone on there that, If they don't want anymore typical female anime stereotypes, that they should join us and try to bring her back.
Now, I do admit that I have been fairly guilty of this as well (accusing some people in her fanbase of being disloyal to her just because they didn't try to bring her back and pretty much said that it is pointless. though the only reason why I thought that they were being disloyal is because of the Odyssey: the slaves who wanted him back, regardless if it was out of true loyalty or just because they hated the suitors, were counted as loyal, and those who DIDN'T want him back, regardless of whether it was for his protection or because they joined the suitors, were counted as disloyal [well, save for one who was forced to be disloyal.].). But, for the most part, I just want her to return, out of loyalty for her, for the show's sake, as well as the world's sake.
