5th Gen Not Bringing Back Great Balls?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I was told in a blog by one of the nintendo power guys that in the latest pokemons they would not be bringing back Great Balls. Is This true can anyone help, I wouldnt beilieve it but it was said by a n-power employee, If there isn't great balls im going to quit the pokemon life forever. I caught my first Legendary with a great ball ( Zappdos), I caught one third of the legendary dogs with Greats Balls ( Entie). I just feel that pokeballs are too weak and that ultra balls are too dang expensive and dont get me started on master balls (one per game talk about rare). Its just that everytime they announce a new pokemon game they try and rip out my heart a little more. Please if this is real someone tell me. And if its not really Im going on a warpath with n-power

But if they take out the great ball, they will prob. replace it with another ball that works exactly the same but has a different name.

It probably isn't true seeing as how it hasn't been officially announced. Plus there would not be much point in taking out great balls unless they replaced them. Also what would happen if a pokemon you pokeshifted over a pokemon holding a great ball.

Probably the same thing that happens if you traded a Pokemon holding or caught in one of the Apricorn (or Sport) balls to DPPt. (Which...I don't actually know what happens.) Or what happens if you try Pal Parking a berry from Gen III that doesn't exist in Gen IV. (Turns into an Enigma Berry.)

And anyway, Nintendo Power tosses false rumors out all the time. What would be the point of getting rid of them anyway? And OP, can we get a link to this blog?

I doubt they will take away the GreatBall, but if they do it would surely be replaced by some other ball.

Lolz, you would quit over Great balls? Great balls aren't worth quitting over. I never ever use those, ultra balls are wayy better.

Well I don't mind that much actually. I've never used Great Balls to catch a Pokemon that I want either. Who would thought that there will be New Poke`balls appear in 5th Gen.

Besides, There's Ultra Balls already. Which its greater than a Great Balls.

Taking out the greatball is nearly impossible due to 2 reasons:
1. Its been in all previous Pokemon games, why wait till now to take it out and replace it?
2. It will be a problem when trading Pokemon caught with great balls from HG/SS and DPt.

Anyways why specifically the greatball? There's no valid reason for them to just exclude it or replace it by itself.
