Has anyone ever noticed that every holiday has some kind of weird candy associated with it?

Halloween has smarties and candy corn.
Christmas has Candy canes, but those are good.
Valentines day has those weird little heart things with the satanic messages on them. (The very worst one is "Be mine", which I interperet as "Give me your soul".)
Easter has peeps, which are fun to microwave.
