The reason why it doesn't work is because the owner most likely doesn't want people direct linking files on his site.

Still, direct linking files is not a thing that is frowned upon lightly, alot of people have trouble with leechers, and I know I'd be pretty pissed if people leeched files off my site.

I've got the SHUFFLE! On the Stage game for PS2, but I can't play it, as I don't have a PS2 in the house atm, once I get ahold of a PS2 game, I'm going to get lots of CG goodness with Kareha :)

id use a system where you know how many people downloaded direct linked it and use one of those "you cannot direct link" sites as an outcome instead of whats supposed to show

Same here, but somedays after, I found the website with holla lot of CGs, so I guess I can live without it. I guess. :P
