I heard the new voice of Shigeru, and it was definately alike the original senryu of him. But you could be right... having a new senryu would be dificult, but on the other hand, that might not be a reason of the plot changing... Anyway, I'm sayign that Shigeru will make appearences in Shinou, if he's not a main character anyway.

From examining the credits, it was the original Seiyuu.

I, myself, don't think Shigeru will be around as a main cast member, either. Then again, why would they call his seiyuu just for a few lines in the episode? @_@; Aaah. I hate speculation. It gets my hopes up on so many things, and scares me with the strangest possible suggestions. e.e; I'll just wait for AG to end (Although I kind of don't want it to XD) so things won't be "up in the air" for me.

Gary won't show up as a main cast member, the only reason he even gave up being a trainer was because his VA was leaving and they needed a way to write him out of the series. He'll probably just become a plot line from now on, they sure as hell made use of it with the whole Shinou thing.

Aheh, yeah Hikarii, most of this is pure speculation. The only concrete thing we know is that the D/P series will have Hikari in it. ^^;

About Haruka, she never told she's going to Jouto; as she lost to Shuu, she'll be probably like to be trained in a place from him.

Yes, you have a point, but then why all the sulking? Why did Scott and Brock have that conversation about how because May trains by Ash's side that she doesn't learn the style of a coordinator (or something like that... I'm not 100% on that info.)? Why make them mention where Drew and Harley are going at all? Perhaps I'm reading too much into it... but I just think it rather silly for all of these things to have been done. I mean, if it were her rivals just saying good-bye for a while, wouldn't the writers just have made them say their good-byes and shown May a little sad about not seeing them for a while? I don't understand why they're showing all of these other things. It's enough to drive a fan mad I tell you! >.<

Gary could always come in as a Tracey-like character...

All this speculation is killing me! *gah* I hope the writers in Japan will have answers for us soon. I really want to know what is going to happen to the orginal cast members. Here is what I think:

Ash will go to Shinou. That is a given. Gary will pop up here and there. But you guys are right about he probably won't be the main character. Now here is the true speculation comes in...where is May going to go? Is she staying or leaving? To me...I think she is going to stay home for a while and catch up to Ash and Hikari in Shinou. Just like Brock caught up to Ash, May, and Max in Honen(Episode 4: "You Can't Never Taillow). Her adventure isn't over yet. It just beginning. And what a good way to start a new big adventure is in Shinou(there are contests in that region). But she could go to Johto with Drew and Harley...that is the possiblity too. Oh well...just got to wait til September 7th and the days after to find out for sure. The supense is killing me, for real. x.x

Brock and Max....they might get the boot. I love these guys, but if it is time to go it is time to go. Brock has been around like forever, so it might be time for him to go back home. Max...I am not so sure.

Well, I think it's a given that Max's not going to stay if May's going. Either he'll go home to "train" with his dad until he's old enough to go off on his own or he'll follow May, but either way, if she goes, he goes.

If Masato does end up going with Satoshi, I really, really, REALLY hope he gets his own Pokemon. The poor guy needs to shut up about becoming a trainer and just do it! XD; Hmm, if he doesn't, a nice exit for him would be to start his very own Pokemon journey. ^^a
