Official English cast for Bleach

    Ichigo Kurosaki - Johnny Yong Bosch (fanboy squee HELL yeah!)
    Kuchiki Rukia - Michelle Ruff
    Ishida Uryu - Derek Stephen Prince
    Inoue Ohirime - Stephanie Sheh (woot!)
    Kurosaki Karin -Kate Higgins
    Kurosaki Yuzu - Michelle Ruff
    Tatsuki Arisawa - Wendee Lee (Is there an anime this woman ISN'T in...?)

    As you can see, I'm happy with the choice they made. XD

    Ichigo: I love JYB, my favorite VA out there right now. He was great as Vash and I can see him really making a great Ichigo. Seeing JYB as another main character, and in a long running series is GREAT.

    Rukia- Yes! Michelle Ruff was always my first choice for Rukia, and I am glad that Viz agrees with me on this. Ruff is just so perfect for this role that it is not even funny.

    Isshin- Ok, this was really weird. Isshin is a great character and all, but does Patrick Seitz have the range to play him? Every other role this guy has ever played have been teenagers and guys in their 20's, so I am undecided at this point on the wisdom of this cast decision.

    Karin- I knew about this one last month. Kate will do fine as Karin.

    Orihime- A good solid choice. I think Sheh will shine as Orihime.

    Tatsuki- Is there an anime this woman ISN'T in...?

    Ishida- Derek Prince was not my first choice for Ishida, in fact I never even considered him for the role. But Prince is good at playing nerds, and Ishida is a first class nerd at heart (through awesome all the same), so I am fine with this.

    Blum should do Kon. He hasn't been able to excercise his "non-badass" voice in a while.

    Looks like my prediction for Ichigo was right on the money (go JYB go! XD). Asides from him...everything else was way, WAY off.

    I didn't really expect Michelle Ruff as Rukia, I'll tell you that much. The people at Gaia were fixated on Kari Wahlgren, and we even went over the possibilities of Jennifer Hale or Tara Strong playing the role.

    Derek Stephen Prince as Ishida? *impales someone* I never considered him for the role either; it should've been Yuri Lowenthal, but what are you gonna do?

    Oddly enough, one of the girls at Gaia had brought up the possibility of Stephanie Sheh as Orihime; now I have to go pay her. XD

    Wendee Lee is the most prolific English anime VA, after all; she was bound to show up in at least one role.
     
    Heh, I'm having to look up most of these actors since, even though I've heard them before, I don't bother with keeping track of names and who's who; Bosch was the only one I recognized at first. Even if I didn't like any of the other actors (which isn't the case here), his being in the dub would make it certain that I at least checked it out. I absolutely love that man's voice.

    Yeah, my interest in seeing how the dub turns out just doubled at the very least...
     
    Dude, JYB, Black Ranger Power. xD I am glad there will be a familiar voice in the show. ^^
     
    Lots of these VAs are from things other than anime, mostly video games, Wendee Lee and JYB are the only really well known from this group. JYB's Vash voice probably won't fit Ichigo that well, I think his Kiba one would be a perfect fit.

    He seems to be one of the few actors that actually had a good career after his stay on it. Wendee Lee was in it too...but what isn't she in? At least for JYB things are getting better for him, his band is actually getting air time now and he's had two big roles in this year so far.

    I'm guessing the scream due the fach he has done some Power Rangers work. Right?

    That and he's an overall great VA, I think the best out there right now. He can do funny(Vash - Trigun) and he can do serious (Kiba - Wolf's Rain), he's the perfect choice. I have no doubt about how good this dub will be.
     
    Oh my looks like this is going to be a great dub. JYB as Ichigo?! That is too awesome! He can pull it off. I wanted Yuri as Ishida though, but that is okay.
    Wendee Lee? Yahaoo! She is one of my favorite female VAs, I am glad she got to be Tatsuki. I think this going to be a great dub...I can feel it. ^^

    I don't know much about any of the voice actors there, but based on other fans reactions I can't wait see some dubbed episodes.
     
    Ahh... I heard about this last week... I must say I'm very pleased with these casting choices. I had a feeling for JYB playing Ichigo, I just thought it really suited his general attitude, but I'm very happy about this annoucement. I have no doubts that this will be a great Dub... Even if it is being Dubbed by the Butchers of VIZ.

    Man...Wendee Lee again?...Shes a good VA, but shes in so much that she's sorta over-doing it... >> Still...Her voice should fit nicely.

    Johnny Bosch is Ichigo?! Chalk up another Anime lead for his VA resume.

    He was great as Vash (Trigun) and Yuki (Grandia III). I can't wait to see this now.

    To be honest, I didn't realize until recently how many Animes Wendee Lee's been in. But if she could do the voice of Mihoshi's partner in Tenchi, I'm sure she'll do fine in this role.
