ok i have a few others,
first my pikachu (60/64) has red cheeks? and its in mint cond., is that worth anything, cause i heard they were?

and then 2 trainer cards

brock's protection (101/132) mint

and super energy retrieval (89/111), it has the double white stars in the bottom right corner, that means promo right? very close to mint, i know that brings the price down, but i still would like to know.

and thanks for the prices ShinjisLover

Brocks protection .50-$1
Super Energy Retrieval .50-$1
As for Red Cheek pikachu, I forgot do to something about it being a misprint.

how about a first edition charizard?

From base set?
Charizard $75-$125 (mint)

(Please don't shoot me if this has been answered already!)

I was just wondering where you guys got the pricing information from :) I'd like to do some research myself, but wanted to find the most reliable way. Just checking eBay?

No, no, no friend.
You can look at the official pokemon price guide at the back of the Becket Magazines or go to Collectorcache.com. =3

Usually people can buy stuff from ebay, not find the real prices. So most of the time the cards are overpriced.

BTW are you from livejournal pokecollectors?

Ah okay, thanks! I don't do much Pokemon TCG buying/selling/trading, but a few of my friends are trying to get me back into buying the booster packs.. figured if I ended up selling some of the cards that I didn't want, I wanted to make sure I was pricing them fairly.

And yes I am :) How could you tell? Are you a member there as well?

LOL, you can ask me for help anytime. =D
And yeah, I'm a new member and I noticed the Avatar and I was like is that the same person. XD
On there I'm shayminseeker. Waiting for them to accept me into the community. =(

Haha yeah, I use that avatar everywhere. It's just too adorable!

I'm alekonia over there, but that journal is basically dead, so I'll be using allure_xi there now (I like that username much better, and it was just accepted into the community last night). You'll be accepted as long as you don't have a blank journal.

I hope to see you over there! It's truly an amazing community :)

Yeah, just fill in a few entries and you'll be accepted ^^;

(And now we're waayyy off topic so I'll PM/post on your profile or something)

i know i have asked this alot, but i havent got a for sure answer, how much, if anything, is my Pikachu (60/64), with red cheeks worth?

Ok, you said it was from base set correct? If it's first addition I have herd that it goes up to $20-$40 on gym.
But only collectors would be interested in it of course.
Just because it is a misprint, but that is the only card I do not know the exact price.

If you mean the Pikachu I just priced, this is it:

Common. Not a misprint. Not first edition. 10 bucks.

OOopps, then no its the other one that is the misprint.

That one is only worth

.50-$1

It's just a common, even if it was mint, it's not worth much. You can find rares from back then that don't cost that much so it's definitely not higher than $2. Unless you find a Pikachu collector, you can just buy a Base pack and most likely get one.

Considering that they've discontinued making them and the fact that they're old, their prices go up. Which is why older cards are worth more.

As for Charizard, it's hard to say. . Hmmm. . Maybe you could get 30 dollars for it.

What it was $120 when I got it and that's when they were still making them.

After seeing how much some of these cards go for, I thought I'd look for mine as I know I had a 1st edition, base set Charizard and a Neo Revelations Shining Gyarados, which would have made me about £80!... but I've either lost them or my parents threw them away as the only 25 I could find (out of over 700!) contained, according to Pokégym's list 1 good card; A Flareon from the Jungle set: #19/64 and it lists that as only $2.00 dollars max (about £1.50 right?) but my question is does the fact it's not English make the price change (It's Spanish or something)

No, Pokemon is NOT like Yu gi oh, their prices do NOT go up over years even if their old. Especially commons. Take this from someone that actually plays. That Pikachu is worth less than a mint. =/
Only CERTAIN cards go up, like NEO, BASE, SKYRIDGE, GYM LEADERS and some other sets Holo Rares. Never has a common sell more than $2 if it did there would be no point in buying it.
If you go to the TCG nationals, Pikachu collectors have like 2 pages of that exact Pika card, meaning it's easy to obtain by getting a base set pack.

Anyways listed above twice Charizard

$75-$125

But if it's from the next set after base or not 1st edition it goes for

$20-$40
