Maybe it's the pokemon that control yin and yang and is their trio master as well like Rayquaza was for the Weather trio...
Though we could see one that has some connection to one of them like Suicune did with Ho-oh...

Let's note that the first and third fact of this line actually came true. (I'm assuming there is some rumours page that this came from on PokeBeach or something, since I only view the main one). Which means... there's a great chance that although the trio might not make logical sense, it could actually be real!

Though... that's only their silhouettes, remember. So really, they could be the same type of animal, just because they appear one way doesn't mean that's how they'll be. And, I'm willing to bet that this, unlike a few other rumours, will actually be true. (No please don't hold me to a bet, I'm just analysing!)
 
I think those two things as well as the anime characters are the only two rumours that have turned out to be true this generation. And the anime characters were presented as fact, not a rumour.

About that giving credibility to the others, did they actually come from the same source, or were they just all posted in one sentence like that?
 
...yeah that's what I'm wondering. (about sources) I think they actually did though, since I remember Paul's 2ch thread made mention of the trio's.

Well, as long as we have now decided that you guys want some rumors, here's 2ch's take on the upcoming CoroCoro (this was posted "supposedly" as information from a leaked copy). REMEMBER. RUMOR. NOT FACT:
  • Ononokusu is rock/dragon
  • Nezumimi is NOT related to Cherimii
  • Moguryu is ground, Doryuuzu is steel (remember, if there is no evolution in the middle it disproves NOA rumors!)
  • Desukan is an evolved form, rock/ghost type
  • C-Gear has a LOT of features, remember we've heard 2 rumors about possible DSi features!
  • Denchura (tarantula) is bug/electric– not related to ariados
  • Aaaaaaand Koromori's nose looks like a nut and it is very cute (LOL I had to include that last one, even though it's not really new info)
If you're reading 2ch at all, people took that original post and started adding on a bunch of other stuff, some using the names that were posted here on PJN, so these are simply the original set of rumors from the CoroCoro "leak".
That said, I'm very very very very very very skeptical anyone has their hands on CoroCoro and if they did they'd prob post pics. So I would suggest you be equally wary

Rayquaza represented the Sky, while Groudon and Kyogre represented the Land and Oceans.
So they are related in this way of controlling the different types of... things that you see around you.

Rayquaza was never the 'trio master' actually. It was just the one who calmed things down.
Groudon and Kyogre was enraged, so a third one was needed to calm them down.
If Team Aqua didn't exist, and a Team Ozone existed, then Kyogre would calm things down.

But really, what else is there to represent in a set besides light and dark?
Balance? Nah...

Bug/Electric eh?

He would be weak to:

Fire 2x

Denchura doesn't share the only weakness Electric has because Bug is resistant to it, which makes Denchura a pretty good pokemon type wise.

The following rumors are from PokeJungle (the site known for rumors apparently):

In addition to the two new Pokemon Pokebeach covered tonight, thought I'd do a quick post before bed of the latest CoroCoro "summaries" that have been posted. Totally unconfirmed and possibly made up bs:

- Gochiruzeru (green blob)
- Rankurusu (goth)
- Kibago (larvitar-ish one)
- Hatopo (Mamepato's evolution)
- Gigigiaru (Giaru evo)
- New attacks: Psycho Energy, Air Drive, Hurricane Vigor
- New ability: Carelessness, may negate weaknesses? (this was really hard to translate)
- Seem to be new Pokemon Natures introduced
- Between 100 and 150 new pokemon
- Team Plasma is the evil group, some of the execs may have belonged to Team Galaxy (fixed slight error on this one)
- DSi video chat (as we've heard many times! exciting!)
- Double battles occur frequently in the wild
- Transferring Pokemon over from previous games is "Friend Park" (actually different name than Pal Park, at least listed in this rumor) and there are certain rules for transfer"

Based upon my personal research, if it can be called that, I predict that Tweaking as it was in Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HG and SS will either be done away with completely, or will not be as it was in the previous versions. The videos out there make this point blatantly obvious.

Dialga was uber and weak to EQ.

Without 4x weaknesses Ononokusu could end up being even more of a threat than Garchomp was.

Well, when I watched it some months back it came on around 6 p.m. central time (if I'm right..it's been like two months). So whatever time zone you're in wind it back or forth.

5pm Mountain
6pm Central
7pm Eastern

Doesn't Pokemon Sunday usually go on for an hour?

I know its not a legendary but you said that there wasn't an uber weak to EQ, and Dialga is an uber weak to EQ.
