A one-way ticket to aussie will probably cost quite a few hundred pounds, so you may need an extra source of income ^^;
 
My brother bought a return ticket to aussie for easter, and it was about 800/900, so ya it'll probably be around 600 for a single..but, don't forget you'd have to deal with immigration. You'd be requesting to actually live out there, which can take months and months to go through ^^;
My brother's girlfriend's brother (..XD) moved out to aussie a year ago, but him and his fiancee had applied about 8 months before they were accepted o.o;
