Heyyy! My name is Owen, only just got round to joining a pokemon forum, navigating around the site is still a little bit tricky, but Im sure I'll get the hang of it!

I've mainly joined to meet people with the same battling interests as me, and make friends of course by doing so. I enjoy competitive battling, but I'm fairly laid back about it. Better to have fun with it than stress over how vulnerable my team is to a gyarados. :)

My favourite types are grass, bug and steel, and my favourite pokemon is tropius! (C'mon, it grows bananas on it's neck, and it can fly. It doesn't get any better than that.)

If anyone could point me in the direction of the best places to meet some relaxed battlers on here, it'd be very much appreciated!

Hey there and welcome! A battler huh... very nice. i never got into the whole competitive battling stuff since i rather play with Pokemon i enjoy then use ones that are more powerful. Also very nice choice on favourite Pokemon. (your explanation you gave was very convincing :P) As for the best places to meet relaxed battlers you can go to the current Generation Pokemon gaming forums and go to the sub forum "Competitive Battling Center" where everyone posts things on everything for battling. Iv never used it as i'm not that kind of person but there's a lot of people who do and i'm sure you'll find the right one there for you. Anyways hope you enjoyed yourself, hope your battles go well and hope to see you around! :)

Yup, definitely head to CBC (Competitive Battling Center) as the above user said. Generally there we rate other people's teams, hang out in the chat thread discussing competitvie related issues, anddd hang out on the Pokemon Online server for this forum. At the top of that section you'll see a red announcement, if you click it then you'll see details as to how to get there - it's always good to see new regulars there, people can be a bit crazy though, but hanging out there basically... sums up the entire competitive community here. XD

But yeah, post an RMT maybe (actually I hope you know RMT = rate my team but ya), read the rules there and so on. :3 Either way, welcome and hopefully you do hang out a bit in that section and have fun! If you have any questions about the forum as a whole, ask any of us with bold usernames.

Hikari10 is a 19-year-old female Pokefan from Australia. She remembers having her first exposure to Pokemon at the age of 6 when she watched the anime for the first time as well as getting a Pikachu plushie. In 2003 she started playing Pokemon Ruby and beat the Elite Four with what would be considered a noobish team. Hikari then moved on to the 4th Generation in 2008 when she played Pokemon Pearl, followed by Pokemon Platinum in 2009. Her biggest accomplishment since Ruby came in Pokemon SoulSilver in 2010. She went into what she considered the best generation when she began the 5th Generation with Pokemon Black in October 2011 and it marked the shortest amount of time before beating the main story at 13 days. She still currently plays Black and watches the anime. Hikari's favorite Pokemon is Oshawott and she became famous at PC for displaying memes of what she calls "PC's Cutest Oshawott". After having a suspension stint in June/July 2011, she has since made a massive comeback in September that year followed by her first PC Birthday in October 2011. Hikari10 currently has one of the largest friendlists of any PC user. One thing that Hikari10 fears is the whistleblower organization WikiLeaks (she especially hates Julian Assange due to his resemblance to Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter series and the fact that he reminds her of an alien). Hikari is very nice if you respect her beliefs, she also has good connectivity throughout the internet with accounts on Photobucket, Serebii, GPX+, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, DeviantArt and YouTube. She loves to share things with most PC users and she might do it to you as well.
