If the animators are going to make the main characters 10, they should act/look like 10 year-olds.

No, I think the Age of Consent in Japan is seriously making 10 year olds get them chests in shape o_0. Sometimes Wikipedia kills the Curious Cat in us all.
 
The only reason I see anyone consistantly draw big-chested girls would be for fanservice. That's all I could come up with.

Well, in some Japan areas it's 18, but still, sexual moral would be low there no?
 
Wonder why it's as high as 18? I just looked and Guernsey and Gibraltar are 16 for male/female and female/female but 18 for male/male? lol?

I wonder, if they want the characters to look and act older, why don't they just make them 14 or something ather than 10? Odd

The writers probably thought it would be a good idea to appeal to a younger demographic. Which doesn't explain why all the young female characters need to have developed chests.
 
I mean, none of them act like 10 year olds either, they're too mature. Does it really make them appeal to younger people if the writers just say they're 10? I'm not sure.
 
I'm just going to throw my "two cents" in here.


Compared to Lorelei's or Professor Ivy's boobs, May's are just tiny bumps.


Maybe the drawers try to make them look slightly older than they are claimed to be so they can still appeal to an older audience, but the writers keep the age young to appeal to the younger audience..
But that's just a theory.
 
OMG REALLY? People, I know we're all concerned about this topic, but WHY? I mean....for crying outload THEIR FREAKING CARTOON CHARACTERS? Its not the fact that this thread exists...its that this thread turned into a conversation about cartoon characters breasts.

But about the age thing, I know for a fact that Misty is a year older than Ash, read the old books for proof.

Now that is disturbing lol.

My guess is that the animators or whoever produces the show is trying to set up an "image" for an ideal young teenage girl. I also think they're trying to draw in a slightly older audience (young teens, teens).

If it's not those two reasons, then the animators are just perverts...
 
10 year olds can have really big boobs......
