Great! Now what do I do .I have got both mesprit and cresselia to 1hp.But still when I throw an ultraball at them they break out without the ball shaking even once

Any suggestions on what I should do?

PS : Please don't tell me things like "are you sure you've got it to one hp" cos I have.I used false swipe four times on them just for precaution even though their hp was barely even visible

you need to have a Pokemon with the move Mean Look (zubat, gastly) or the ability Shadow Tag (Wobbuffet). this will keep the Pokemon from fleeing.

and if you can, put the Pokemon to sleep or freeze it. Paralysis is good too. Dont poison or burn them.

and my only other suggestion is to bring a lot of Ultra Balls. if you're playing at night, try Dusk Balls too. oh and try a Quick ball right in the beginning.

and after youve done all that, its just luck...

my suggestion:have a faster pokemon(dusknoirs to dang slow-_-)that knows meanlook and keep it alive will chucking quick balls...or stall it for 20 turns and use timer balls.Trust me.

I suggest crobat, it has mean look and is incredibly fast.

but something really weird happens to me.If I use mean look and then change my pokemon(to a Lv100 dialga to be precise) the pokemon can still flee

I dont know why this happens as my dialga's speed is way higher than cresselia's or mesprit's speed

can anyone tell me why this happens

Mean Look is out of play once the user is switched out, and why are you using ultra balls? they only have a +2 catch rate... I would recommend something like Dusk Ball(+4 if Night) or Quick Ball (+4 if 1st Turn). Also I would recommend a Haunter/Gengar with Hypnosis and Mean Look, I believe a lv.40-something Haunter can already out speed a mesprit or cresselia.

Why don't you just get a Dugtrio with the ability Arena Trap around the stark mountain place and go and find them? They can't escape then I'm sure.

Ever heard of it's counter ability?
    Levitate.

simple answer, stock up on ultra balls, dusk balls, and get a timer ball or two. then get a really strong pokemon with false swipe, mean look, and thunderwave.

    First :use mean look
    second :false swipe,
    repeat second lots,
    paralyze it with thunder wave,
throw out all you dusk balls. if not catch, all your ultra balls,
and if that doesn't work, use timer balls.
Guaranteed to be 100% effective if you have enough balls and you do it right.

Well its already at 1hp so I doubt I'll really have to use false swipe. And I could get a lv65 golbat at turnback cave....so thanks for the suggestion

i vote Master ball.Say,your like me,and your far on your FR/LG(you have the masterball, but haven't used it).Upload a pokemon who is holding the master ball. This is also how you get as many Master Balls as you want.

My suggestion is to use Quick Balls during the daytime and Dusk Balls during the nighttime. Good luck

after you use mean look, it's only a matter of time before timer ball have..like...a +67 chance of catching?

Any time i'm battling a runner (i caught them both already ,though) quick ball from the begininning. Wear them down. Use ultraballs like a madman, partly for the chance of catching, but mostly to use up turns. After you have gone through 30 ultraballs...a timer ball is sure to do the trick.

I assume you already know the "switch routes" trick to run into them in like 5 minutes?

i heard if you say gothca in the mic right before the ball blinks it'll work like a master ball. thats what i heard though

yeah. and if you put a pikachu sticker on the back of the cartridge, all of your pokemon will be shiny with perfect iv's. It's true. I swear.

    lawl.

    That is not true.

yeah right that's more like bad luck every time I tried that the pokemon will pop out.My suggestion is just like the others use a pokemon that knows mean look and then used as many ultra balls, dusk balls, etc as you can

thats what i heard its not my fault that its not true if im not right just say sumthing like oh thats not true or sumthing you don't gotta rub it in my face if im wrong
