Ok, so people would like a more mature storyline.

they make the pokemon series to appeal to children 15 and under so it has to be simple. No ten year old wants to see Ash making out with misty because stuff like that can be copied.

You'd be surprised what kid shows (past and present) there are available for kids that deal with some pretty big questions, take for example:

It starts at about 1:20. Basically for an adult, it brings up some interesting philosophical questions, but for kids... >.>

Also for myself, I seem to enjoy the Pokemon movies more than the actual episodes.

I would personally love the series to "grow up a little." Maybe not in the violence and innuendo area, but something to make you think, you know? As a little kid I adored the first movie, but as I got older I began to notice the deep concepts explored in the movie, i.e. the meaning of birth. "The circumstances of one's birth are irrelevent; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are." Isn't that what Mewtwo said in the first movie? Young kids should be exposed to ideas like that rather than the generic crap the series has put out, and not only that, it would attract attention from the older fans as well.

I would love it if the show kinda grew up a little, as stated above; but, it targets the younger audiene, so I'm content with that.

Bring up a mature plot doesn't mean kissing and all that stuff, but something deep or teaches a lesson.

Oh, just wanted to say, despite what the title of the vid says, the show wasn't banned.

Would you guys want to see something mature like dealing with death? Like sure Pokemon faint, but I think that's the equivalent of 'has no will to fight' (description when you click on a faint pokemon in red blue) at least.

Sometimes I do wish that Pokemon covered more mature issues such as philosophy. I'm sort of disappointed that the show has a character like Shinji who's methods in training are different than Ash's yet the show never has that lesson where sometimes you just can't change things. In Kino's Journey, Kino travels to many places but she never changes things even if they're morally wrong. However, sometimes the problems may only be problems for certain people. The writers leave it up to the viewer to make a decision.

Maturity =/= violence. That is a flawed conclusion that violence and sex will make something more mature. Look at South Park. If anything, it is looked on as stupid.

I'm just upset that they will probably pull that goody-goody crap on Shinji and keep on having the good guy win. Even subtly would be better than nothing.

Also, I thought they could go somewhere if Pikachu were a female Pokemon and Mimirol's crush was kept. This and the vagueness of Pikachu's gender could be a very subtle homosexual thing in Pokemon. It wouldn't be obvious so there wouldn't be an uproar with the soccer moms, but it would be known by the smarter people in the fandom.

The most evident philosophies in the series are probably in the movies... Remember you can pull philosophy out of anything (points at south park and family guy), lol.

One main portion of philosophy that concerns Pokemon, is Ash's Heroism.

Another one could also be metaphysics of the Pokemon world.

Also there's lots on morality, everything as Crystal mentioned as Paul/Shinji's training methods, to even battling to begin with.
