It's a bug with the Coin Case. If you talk to an NPC Machop (Vermillion City) or Machoke (Goldenrod), and then use the Coin Case (or in the reverse order), the game will reset with weird colors. That's about all it does, really. I think it has to do with their Cries, because viewing their Pokedex data triggers this as well.

As for catching eggs, that requires a cheating device. Making a Pokemon with an index of 253 appear will make it a "wild egg". They may only use Struggle, as they have no moves, but it gets better. After a while, the glitch egg will hatch into another egg. It keeps doing this every something-thousand steps or so.

16.)Complete the Pokedex (minus Celebi of course. You can get Mew with the "Mew Glitch" in RBY)
17.)Get 100 wins in the battle tower*

^That one's fairly risky because it involves messing with "bad clones" and hex numbers, which could potentially corrupt your save file. If you decide to do it, I strongly recommend you READ THE STEPS VERY, VERY CAREFULLY.

4. get master ball
5. complete league
6. catch ho-oh lugia raikio entei and suicine and celibi.
7. help the old man find his daughter.
8. have 16 badges
9. defeat red.
10. see all pokemon
11. catch all pokemon
12. complete battle tower in all levels
13. re battle rival before league(this can only happen after you defeat red)
14. battle every trainer
15.Get all decorations for your bedroom
16. get all game corners prizes
17. get all pokemon from eggs
18. complete unown dex
19. have at least 30 shiny pokemon( without cheating...>_<)
20. get rare pokemon(sudowoodo smergle aipom extreme speed dratini teddursa and dunsprace)
21 use mystery gift 5 times
22. use printer colour 5 times
23. trade with all traders in the actual game(not feinds found by linking)
24. win first place in bug contest(for instant win find a shiny pokemon)
25. Activate bad clone glitch(may need to do some research(WARNING MAY WIPE MEMORY SO DO THIS ONE FIRST)Enjoy)!!!
