Old pokemon games or the New pokemon games?

    Old:

    -Red, Blue, Yellow, Green (Japanese)

    -Gold, Silver, Crystal

    New:

    -Firered, Leafgreen

    -Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald

    -Pearl, Diamond

Do you guys think the good ol days of pokemon GB and GBC rise over the new days of GBA and DS?

I like the new games better but like the old pokemon better. The old games were more simple though. I liked the old games a lot. It depends on personal opinion but if I had to choose I'd say the new games.

For pokemon, I'd say old generations.

For the gameplay, it'd be the new ones.

I like the old games era...back when everyone and their grandmother loved Pokemon. i loved that it was everywhere and you'd always have someone you could talk to about pokemon.

Now pokemon is reduced to DS games and the KMART clearance section...which is sad. Pokemon hit this world and ruled it for quite awhile.

So..I like the old games (but the updated versions like FR and LG).

I agree with ya. Doesnt matter that much about graphics to me, or that you can watch your pokemon breed. It was something about that little Pikachu following you, and when you wanted to talk to somone about pokemon, they were right there. Now, all you see people talking about is, "Hey m@n ill g!ve u my shiny RaYquaza for yo sh!ny LUGia!".

Do people even care about the pokemon, or just a trophy that fills their pokedexes? jasonresno seems like he knows what im talking about.

I like the new games better, the only old game I really liked was Pokemon crystal and now I have shiny gold to take its place XD

New games are better because of the graphics. If the old games had that they would be really close to making it to the "Cool Pokemon Games" list.

Graphics are cool, but is that what makes a pokemon game? Highly doubt it.

The new games of course. Especially Diamond and Pearl due to all the detail that was put into them both. The genre is expanding due to WiFi. Thank god everything is wireless! The game has moved on with the times and things become alot more user friendly with time. You gotta love the new school!

I like the new ones better, All your items aren't shoved into one place, The graphics are better, You get full color and not partial color, Plus all the new Pokemon and new inovations in Pokeballs. Because Dusk Balls are awesome.

Well, not really. I guess you are right. But it is hard to find out what that is in some of the old games. I would go with more things to do, there now is a Battle Tower and Contests, they didn't have that in the older game versions.

I dont know what it is in the older games, but they had something special..Something to them that gave me a warm feeling inside even if you think that im stupid lol...

    dude

    old games were better

gave you more gameplay and were cheaper

    screw graphics

    g/s/c :16 badges battle tower/battle ash for like 29.95

    D/p:is worth it

but the others were way too short

Agree with you all the way lol. Finally! Somebody who appreciates the power of Lugia! Lol.

In my opinion I think that the newer games lack personality because the Pokemon are just...terrible. In the first couple generations all the pokemon had a personality to them and I could see myself training any single one of them. but now I'm running into Pokemon that have names with no vowels and you can't even tell what element it is much less how fun it would be to train.

i was a veeeeeeery big fan of the old story, with giovanni and team rocket. it gave the impression of fighting the mob, but instead of gunfire you had little creatures at each others' throats for you.

    and rattata > bidoof+zigzagoon

so i say the older games for gameplay and (obviously) the newer ones for graphics

I think, the new Pokemon (and the Hoenn one) don´t look like Pokemon. They could be other monsters, too, in my opinion.
I remember when I could tell the first 150 Pokemon without any problems, after them, it would be more difficult.
I´m looking forward to all new Pokemon and games, but my interest won´t be so big again, that I´ll can tell all new Pokemon like the first one years ago.
So, I wanna say: Yea, new games are cool, but not so cool like the originals. Old games ftw.

Yeah, whenever I think of the old games it reminds me of everything Pokemon not just the game itself. I remember playing and trading with friends. All my friends had Pokemon as well so we would spend every possible time trading and battling.

The games are obviously better playing wise, graphics etc, but I can't have the interesting discussions and trades I had with friends before as many of them have grown out of it or simply got bored.

R/B/Y were glory years of Pokemon. I miss them days a heck of a lot.
