So I have someone who blocks off a cave before you have a certain number of badges. After you get the required number of badges I want him to move to the left of where he is and let you pass. But when I leave the area and reload the map he is in the same position. I have read multiple threads about how I should use 2 different events and a global switch to turn the first one invisible. What I don't understand is that firstly, to do that would I need an autorun process to constantly check if the switch is on? I had heard that autorun process can be unwieldy and resource intense and I would prefer not to use it. Secondly, when i try to move one event toward the location of the other invisible event it gets stuck and causes an endless loop that freezes the game. I've been trying for a while now and I'm just not getting it.
