I connected my GBA to my friends GC, he went to the Jirachi thing, and I got Jirachi in my party, so that's where ur wrong.
Btw u need to have beat the Elite 4 and have at least one empty slot in ur team
actually, the only spot is where I'm wrong is that I said it has no link up capability. i just examined the box and rules and although it does link up to the gameboy, it's only to use the E-Reader to scan art cards to use with Smeargle Paint. If you really did get Jirachi by hooking up with the GC, then your friend was probably using the bonus disk for preordering colloseum. If not, then I'm going to have to think you're either lying or are confusing what your friend used with Pokemon Channel. ALthough they do make some changes from country to country, I doubt that is one of them. Besides, if Jirachi was catchable was on ANY version of the game, they would have advertised it, just like with Colloseum preorder. Also, catching the jirachi at the end of the game would be against the basis of the game, which is to meet other pokemon and collect cards of them, not the pokemon themselves. he is merely in the game to make people go, "Woah, cool!" And end the game. Also, you only see jirachi during a cut scene that ends the game, and at no point during that scene do they ask you if you would like to upload him onto your ruby or sapphire game.
It's time you people faced facts: Just because JIrachi is there doesn't mean you can catch him. gengar is there, bulbasaur is there, squirtle, cyndaquil, chikorita, togepi, hitmonlee, all those are there. Does that mean you can catch them? No. so why should it be any different for Jirachi?
edit: Also, the conditions posted by Tig are the same as for the colloseum preorder disk, which makes me believe even more that if Tig did get it, it was from teh preorder disk and not from Pokemon Channel.
